Samsung to reveal Galaxy S8 launch date at MWC 2017
Samsung made it pretty clear that it would not announce its Galaxy S8 smartphone series at MWC 2017, instead choosing to introduce a new tablet (Galaxy Tab S3) during the event. Still, the company reportedly plans to share an important detail about the S8 at MWC.

According to The Korea Economic Daily (a major publication in South Korea), Samsung will unveil the launch date of the Galaxy S8 on February 27, the day when MWC 2017 officially opens its gates.

Not long ago, we heard that Samsung would announce the S8 on March 29, and release it almost a month later, on April 21. Now, we just have to wait for MWC to start and see if these dates are accurate.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to bring a bevy of enhancements and new features. The latest rumors have it that Samsung will launch a regular, 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 alongside a 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+. The screens of both models should be curved at the edges and occupy most of the phones' front sides. Likely powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 835 CPU, the Galaxy S8 series should be available to buy via all major US carriers, just like most of Samsung's previous Galaxy S flagships.

Samsung not using thier beast Exynos no more , but instead having a trashy Snapdragon again..... So no more Exynos till another 2 year cycle?

What are you talking about? There will obviously be an exynos variant in regions other than US or China.

But every leaks mentioned S835 and S821, no Exynos 8891 or 889?......

Exynos chipsets are usually pretty well hidden until they are unveiled. Just wait and see.

There is a big chance of no Exynos on S8 this year, cause Exynos hasn't released by official yet, unlike the passed years, the new Exynos will usually announce on Nov

I too reckon Samsung might not be making an Exynos for the S8 The 8895 would have better CPU benchmarks because of its higher clocks But the real world performance/efficiency difference should be small (assuming Qualcomm don't mess up the CPU) The 835 is 4x A72/A73's + 4x A53's, which is very similar in performance/efficiency to the Exynos's likely 4x M2 + 4x A53's (unlike the 820's 2+2 Kyro) Samsung and Qualcomm made a special deal for the 835 Qualcomm are openly advertising using Samsung's 10LPE Samsung is getting all the early stock of the 835 The only major reason for Samsung is it would be cheaper to use their own Exynos chips But Samsung using up all the early 835's could be apart of their special deal Because then all the other OEMs have to use the 821 or delay their releases That being said, I still won't be surprised if there still is a new Exynos Maybe the supply issues aren't part of their special deal Maybe Qualcomm were simply late in finishing the 835 and so Samsung didn't have enough time to produced enough supply yet

Why not many sites mention the Exynos processor is because it's too hard to admit that this processor is far superior to Snapdragon and thus ignore it as much as possible. Aside from that I'd love to see a 6.2" S8+ with flat display...but know that Samsung wouldn't do it. Maybe when it become more clear that the curved displays hasn't any practical use...other than that they are look great
