Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for Verizon is being updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop
Verizon Wireless is now updating its Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to Android 5.0 Lollipop! The carrier says that the update is officially rolling out starting today, April 2, so everyone should get it pretty soon.

Unsurprisingly, the update is a very large one, requiring "up to 1.7 GB of reserved memory." It's actually comprised of two separate updates, one of them activating VoLTE, and making Advanced Dialer 1.0 part of the Note 4's dialer. In addition to VoLTE and all the goodness of Lollipop, the update also brings S Health widgets, plus fast motion and slow motion camera modes.

For a peak at what a Galaxy Note 4 running Lollipop looks like compared to a Note 4 still running Android 4.4 KitKat, check out this article.

In case you don't have a Verizon Galaxy Note 4, the handset is available to buy for $299 on contract, or $699 off contract. Of course, instead of getting the Note 4, you might want to look at another Samsung smartphone that Verizon is about to release.
