Red HTC One M8 and rugged Kyocera Brigadier (both for Verizon) pictured
We can now say hello to the red version of HTC’s One M8. Not in an official way, though, because HTC has yet to confirm its existence. Even so, @evleaks just revealed two press images that show the red M8 from its front and rear sides. The new color certainly gives the One M8 a distinct look.

The somewhat bad news is that this particular red HTC One M8 is made for Verizon Wireless, and we have no idea if it’s going to be available via other carriers, or outside the US. If not, we guess that non-Verizon customers will have to make do with the new One’s color options that were announced until now: gunmetal grey, glacial silver, and amber gold.

We don’t know when Verizon will start selling the red One M8, but it might do it pretty soon.

Another Verizon-bound smartphone that appeared in press images today is the Kyocera Brigadier. This is a large, and seemingly ultra-rugged Android smartphone that we know little about. But let’s hope Verizon will announce both the red HTC One M8, and the Kyocera Brigadier in the near future.

Looks great, still not as great as the gunmetal m8. I hope it won't be too prone for scratches.

HTC and their lack of will to take something as far as it needs to go so that it is "great". They made an interesting metal shell with a ton of potential, but in the end, hardly take advantage of this. There's all sorts of colors and cool finishes HTC could be offering on their phones using aluminum powder coating.

it is not about the colors, the 3 colors that are offered in the M8 are great. The 4UP camera kinda ruined it, instead of using the black empty bar for capacitive buttons(it is surely there for a reason, still they could've used it instead of keeping it empty). Then came the build quality issues, the M8 price has dropped drastically on Craigslist, people are selling it out of fear they will end up with a dead phone or dead pixel, also the screen isn't always flush with the speakers, dedected speakers, rattling volume keys, the gunmetal grey gets scratched easily. And those were some of the reasons why I opted to pass out on the M8.

Those are all really good points too :)

I agree with the camera part and screen not being flush with the speakers ( that is a problem on my m8) but some of the others such as falling prices on cl I disagree with.. looking in the major cities around my area and many people are trading their s5 for m8 and the two are close in separate pricing.

looks nice, but since I've seen Oneplus one, suddenly I don't care what others has to offer me anymore.

Looks good, but the gunmetal is still the best color hands down. Best android offering for this part of year.

The red HTC one picture is obviously a fake because the bottom speaker grill is in the wrong place

Not exactly. We are all out having a good time thinking that we are really happy we left Verizon and are no longer wasting money on Verizon's exorbitant minutes/kilobytes.

Yeah leaving the biggest network with the best connection I can see your point. Oh wait you don't have one because every other carrier pretty much costs the same only... now Verizon gets all the good phones so people like you have no more reasons to hate on big red, awh
