Pixel 4 Camera First Look: real-life sample shots

Pixel 4 Camera First Look: real-life sample shots
Google announced the long-awaited Pixel 4 this week, and, of course, it launches with some truly exciting photography features. We’ve got a full review coming next week, but here are some sample shots to whet your appetite.

These shots were all taken on the Pixel 4’s main camera mode. Unfortunately, we’re not able to share samples for the improved Night Sight or Super Res Zoom, but those will certainly be included in our full review, so stay tuned for that!

The king of Android is back! Pixel has no rival in the Android space when it comes to camera. Samsung is prince but Google will remain king of Android. Hail mother Pixel. Next will be the pixel buds they just can't be stopped.

I have a Nokia 808 PureView that has something to say about that. A certain Microsoft Lumia 950 would also like to chime in on that conversation.

Plus one Crispin! In certain situations my Lumia 650 gives these new flagships a run for their money. I've even shown pics to a few iPhone users that were blown away by what a $99 Lumia was able to produce.

Samsungs camera isn't better than huawei

A year ago, I would've agreed on that. But with the RYYB sensor and it's awful color science, plus the average video recording, Huawei phones no longer have a better camera than Samsung phones.

Huawei never been good in camera... They had the optical zoom that's all.

Lot of negative reviews about this phone. Only because of the lack of wide angle camera?

Well that and because everyone is a hater these days..

No.. because itnis in no way, shape, form a premium phone in '19. You need to go take a look at what's coming out of Asia with 5000 batteries 512 storage with MicroSD 120 refresh rates better chips.. and CHEAPER! We get garbage in the United States that phone makers want to give us not what we want is just incremental baby steps forward when the rest of the world is making huge jumps. There's literally nothing impressive about this phone and that's just a simple fact even the design is lame

Meh I would take telephoto over wide angle. The super zoom on this phone looks amazing. 3 lenses would have been nice but if we only get 2 I think they made the right decision.

The negative reviews are because of the hype, like most flagships these days the oems are charging more while giving the consumers less. Instead of the competition standing up and charting their own path they are all blindly following the apple model to squeeze as much money out of the customer.

Do you really believe that? Lol People are mad because of the small battery, no fps, ugly design, 64GB of storage, 855 instead of 855+, and yes, the lack of the ultra-wide angle lens.

I bet clouds were not that gray. Those phones with excess of HDR enhance colours to make light gray clouds into dark gray.

I agree that color accuracy can suffer with HDR in some cases, but for the shots here I can verify that the clouds were actually rather dark.

The photos are underexposed on Pixel 4. Lots of detail loss.

Maybe we should just make everything look as off color as the iPhone...

8 photos in Hi res - is your measly 64gb used up yet?

I've yet to take a photo more than 8MB or so. 64GB isn't a lot, but I wouldn't call it measly.

What about videos and music? These can take-up far more than 8mb per file. If you are paying upwards and beyond $1000 for a phone you should expect a lot more memory than an average budget phone. For phones at this price it is indeed miserly.

I believe the same could be said for a base iphone 11. Aren't they 64gb starting?
