I hope this will be a total flop because Apple outright tries rape people again. I already got used to ridiculous pricing for their products but everything about Pro costs 3 or 4 times it would cost by any other manufacturer. F*ck You Apple, I hope some dev will come up with jailbreak tweak that allows to use other "pens" or anything from you. Just like you tried to screw customers with certified lightning cables. Thanks to jailbreak I saved many $$$

It's got an Macintosh class silicon with ultraportable level of power compustion. The best display ever made, better than even the one on the MacBooks, but with a super advenced touch layer, for the industry best touch reponse on both stylus and finger. A Quand speaker stereo system that is also going to rival many notebooks. Unlimited software potential and great updates for years. A big ass battery to last for hours. And thinner and lighter than any MacBook. And btw, you can use any kind of Mfi pen with iPad, but Apple pencil is an profesional grade tool, that even most people that will own an iPad Pro won't need. So what's so bad on it ?

It runs iOS. No seriously, I am fan of iOS, but on phones and tablets, iPad Pro is hybrid, it is said to rival Surface Pro which runs full W10. iOS has nothing to beat Windows with, W10 is desktop OS, it's best for businesses, you can do everything on Surface that you can do on iPad but it doesn't work the other way. I don't know anything about display, but so far I love every iPhone's and iPad's screen and retina display on my 2013 MBP looks incredible. But year or two and Apple will need to switch to Amoled, just sayin. Speakers will probably be great but dual speakers would be more than enough, for any serious listening I would use headphones or soundsystem anyway. Unlimited software potential? That's the worst part, if Apple wants to be serious with iPad Pro they should use OS X, iOS is still a mobile OS and it's really simple. Maybe high grade apps will get the job done Battery - ok It's enormous for a tablet IMO but as notebook it's great. I didn't know that, about pencils, but I'm sure everything "Magic pencil" does could be done by any pencil And iOS will fly on 4GB of RAM There are two bad parts about it: price (same about surface but it's specs are on other, higher level), iOS. OS X with enabled touch would be incredible, but it would probably eat MacBook sales

Its a limited tablet. It doesnt nothing more than a present iPad, its just bigger. What are you talking about? The Surface Pro 4 has just as good if not a better display and the base model is the same price, but will do far more with an x86 CPU vs an ARM one. Oh and I can use a REAL version of Photoshop. I can use a REAL multi-track audio creation tool and a REAL version of Office too. Unlimited software potential? The software is limited by the hardware used. AGAIN CRAZY FOOL, this is just a 12" iPad. Whatever apps it gets is whats goign to work on any other iPad. Go ahead and spend your money so you can talk about selling it less than 3 months down the road when you see just how useless it is. If it had an x86 CPU or even a PPC CPU it would be more useful than using ARM - THAT IS FACT! If it had a desktop OS liek OS X and the ability to install Windows liek the Mac, then it would have unlimited sofwtare potential. This iPad Pro has no more software potential vs the present iPad. if you "think" it does, than you're a moron.

the power consumption you mean but still beating by the surface pro 4 and surface book, the "best display" joke got me rolling i really thought you started this of as a joke then noticed you user name and realized you a apple die-heart, so i feel sorry for you if you buy into this joke of a product only a crazy fan would.

It's thinner and lighter than a Macbook? Well duh, it better be its a tablet. The Surface is thinner and lighter than a Macbook as well. Why? Because its a tablet. DUMMY! Quad speakers that will rival laptops? What laptops? My laptop yes has Quad speakers, but it has to subwoofers too. Oh and not to give beats Audio any props, but yes its Beats Audio too. Big ass battery? Still only gonna last roughly 13 hours at best. Apple Pencil is not a professiona grade tool. Have you used one? IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN ERASER!!!!! Its not going to come close to a WACOM stylus. WACOM styli offer as much as 2048 level of pressure...1024 is so the very first Note in 2010. What's bad? Its bigger yet Apple added no features to take advantage of its size. Splitscreen is so 2010 - Thanks to Samsung. I had a Note pro, I cant brag about it because it too is a ARM tablet. ARM creates a natiral limitation. But even though its a 2014 device, it has splitscreen for 4 apps, not 2. It comes with a pen, USB 3.0, microSD card up to 256GB, 12.2" display that us Super AMOLED and its 2560x1600 which is more than enough, and it has all the benefit of andorid liek default apps, custom launchers and more. The iPad? Well its has limited versatility. Again its bad because it isnt offering anything other tablets could do 5 years ago yet costs as mch as a PC or more than many fo them and tablets too. For $900 no one should be buying a tyablet that does less than a PC for less. You can get a full Windows Tablet starting at $699 for a Surface Pro 3. At least it comes with a professional level pen. I'm getting a Surface Book next month where I get the best of both world's. MS website shows shipping by Dec 12th or so. I pre-ordered so mine could ship any day now.

i think apple fans and apple users will see this price and think 1400 for a tablet with a pen is a rape me flag offer, and pass for the pro 4 or surface book its 2 in 2 tablet and laptop for the same price plus its faster more mem and options and many other things. best screen and everything.

Last I checked, the iPad pro doesnt come near $1400. Where do you get your info? Most will get the wifi only at $799 to $950. Even the wifi with cellular is $1079.

Problem is. Microsoft don't offer other keyboard products and accessories. So surface is just for normal, non-pro entertainment device.

Why the hell anybody would buy this over a Surface boggles my mind. A limited OS with absurdly priced accessories vs a reasonably priced device with a fully-fledged OS. No USB, no expandable storage. But of course, iDiots will proclaim it to the be the greatest, most innovative thing ever...

I just dislike windows, that's the only thing keeping from buying a Surface.

24. engineer-1701d unregistered

go to bestbuy and try the surface book its a lot better then 7 and 8

I have used windows 10. It is a lot better than 8, that's for sure. But I just enjoy OS X much more. I don't buy things cause "oh it's apple so I have to" I buy it cause I like it better. I do a lot of photo and video editing, as well as some music production. My macs are very good for that. As for tablets, I primarily use it for media and travelling. I think 9.7" or 10.1" is too small. So 12" - 14" would be ideal. I always buy top of the line, so it's either an iPad Pro for $1100 or a Surface Pro 4 for $3000+ (i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB).

Ok so install Linux on it. Still will do more than an iPad.

Don't care for Windows either. Rarely do I ever use my pc now. So much quicker to use my Air 2. Use for web or pay my bills online. Unless there's something that requires pc then I'll boot it up. Make a cup of coffee or do some chores while its updating. Ugh.

Yes I have, and it is a MASSIVE improvement on Windows 8 but I still prefer OS X. Especially with my music production, as well as photo and video editing.

Stop with that "iDiots" bulls**t, do you see anyone here claiming that anything Apple has done in recent years is the greatest? PA is luckily free from Apple trolls, fandroids are the issue here Anyway, I agree

16. Planterz

Posts: 2120; Member since: Apr 30, 2012

I see many here who suckle on Apple's teat. But here is not the world, and in the world we see people camping out for a week in front of Apple stores for this kind of iDiocy. And yes, "iDiots" is the proper epithet. It's just a bigger iPad. You're still limited to iOS. Want a keyboard? It's extra...a lot extra. Want a stylus? It's another $100 #$%^ more. And what does it give you? A big iPad with limited functionality. Now, if it offered Apple's PC/laptop software, I'd be saying something different. But it doesn't. It's just a big iPad with overpriced accessories to make it appear to be as functional as a Surface (which it isn't).

Let me ask You: why the hell do You care about some idiots? Same, not every Apple user is Sheep camping at Apple store and jerking to new iPhones, same goes for Android and anything else. Why people are iDiots? Because Apple releases bigger tablet? Are You serious? Seriously, some people here have some complexes

26. engineer-1701d unregistered

he is referring to subconscious thoughts that people that have apple products fall for, saying apple is just right and it just works, " not for the last 3 years" i could go on about how simple apple users are just in general. they only know the word apple or iword.
