OnePlus teases red version of the OnePlus 6; new color could be available July 2nd

We could see a new variant of the OnePlus 6 offered to consumers as soon as July 2nd. Two images of the latest OnePlus handset in red have surfaced today. Considering how the image seems to reflect light in both pictures, OnePlus could call this option Mirror Red. The OnePlus 6 is currently available in Silk White (8GB RAM + 128GB storage), Mirror Black (6GB RAM + 64GB Storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage) and Midnight Black (8GB RAM + 128GB Storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage).

Some confirmation that a red OnePlus 6 is on the way comes from OnePlus itself. The company sent out a tweet that says, "Now initiating: C61422. Do you wish to continue?" That number sequence happens to be the RGB code for Dark Red. The video that accompanies the tweet uses a red filter, and the date of July 2nd is superimposed on the screen.

So it would appear that the OnePlus 6 will give consumers another color option to choose from as soon as this Monday. If a red OnePlus 6 is something you've dreamed about, it appears that your dreams are about to come true.

It’s be cool if they supported ^RED with this colour option, unfortunately theyre riding off the red iPhone colour option with no charitable cause.

You do realize that Apple's main reason why they release their red iPhone is to boost sales, and that only a tiny fraction of the profit they generate out of this goes to charity? If Apple really wants to help, they could've donated everything they make out of this, or maybe better, stop hiding the hundreds of billions of dollars worth of taxes, that will boost the American economy and the tens of millions of people living in poverty. People need to stop idiolizing these large corporations, whether it's Samsung, Apple, Google, etc..., they don't give one flying F about anyone of us

I totally agree with you, I don't understand why people blindly follow companies, not like they are giving you part of there profits. Just makes no sense

Stop with the apple had red first crap. Others had red way before apple.

Where does he say Apple had red first? He only says it's a shame OnePlus doesn't support the RED charity like Apple and many other brands do. While the RED charity is nothing more than a marketing tool, it is nice that some charity is getting some extra bucks. The only stupid thing he said was they're riding off Apple's red.
