OnePlus 5T unboxing

In an era when these ultra-premium smartphones are increasingly becoming the new norm for flagships, the OnePlus 5T is a delightful and defiant offering that provides for the comforts we crave in these ultra-premium devices, but without the immense cost. With a cool starting price of $500 outright for the base version, it absolutely undercuts the majority of the competition in the space. It's a bold strategy to say the least, however, we're more eager to see the level of consumer interest in it.

We just got a final production model, so a proper unboxing video is ready for you to feast on in the meantime, as we continue to put it through its paces. While a number "5" is prominently slapped dead center on the front of the white-red box, it's indeed the OnePlus 5T we're dealing with here – evident in the OnePlus 5T name found around the sides. Inside, you can expect to find the phone in question, the usual set of instructions and safety guides, a simple translucent cause, decals, a USB Type-C cable, and the Dash Charging wall charger.

Don’t forget to check out some of the other videos and pieces we've recently done for the OnePlus 5T. Expect a comprehensive review soon!

I never thought I'd ever say this but... I'm quite interested in The latest OnePlus. It lacks the crazy high resolution, it lacks a weird, quirky design element like curved edges or those absolutely horrendous notches, it lack some bells and whistles like water resistance or wireless charging, it lacks a glassy construction and it lacks a 'famous' logo at the back... But it's never meant to be a 'visual masterpiece'. This phone is FUNCTION over FORM. And did I mention that it lacks a hefty price tag too? I won't win any 'beauty' contests, no question about it, but it'll surely win many hearts! OnePlus, you're on my radar now! G'Day!

It still lacks many many main useful things: -no microsd -no wireless charging -no ip68 -no 3.1 usb type c -no HDMI out If they add all those things then it will be the same as other flagship at $850 hehe

Well, I'm not a "power-user" or perhaps "super geek" and I can live without any of that! Though I'd still appreciate an expandable storage and an IP rating because I'm a rider and when it rains... Well, you get soaked! But then again, it doesn't rain all that much around here! And besides, I take my semi-vintage Cummins diesel truck when it rains because my vintage RD350 has really REALLY skinny tires and on wet pavement, all it takes is a little front brake to loose traction! And at this age, I'm in no shape or form to withstand broken bones, road rashes or perhaps going through a car's windshield, flying! Oh well, G'Day!
