Nvidia SHIELD Tablet 32 GB LTE will be launched on September 30, pre-orders available now

Back in July, when Nvidia released its SHIELD Tablet 16 GB Wi-Fi, the company said that a 32 GB LTE version of the device would be available later this year. Now, Nvidia is accepting pre-orders for the LTE variant of the slate in the US and Europe, saying that shipments will start on September 30.

Apart from the more generous storage space and 4G connectivity, the SHIELD Tablet 32 GB LTE offers the same features that you can find on the 16 GB model. This being said, the slate is presented as the ultimate tablet for gamers, and is powered by a quad-core 2.2 GHz Tegra K1 processor with 192 GPU cores (according to Nvidia, this is the world’s most advanced mobile processor). Sporting an 8-inch display with 1200 x 1920 pixels, the SHIELD Tablet further features Android KitKat, stereo speakers, 5 MP cameras (both on the front, and back), 2 GB of RAM, and microSD card support.

Nvidia is offering the SHIELD Tablet 32 GB LTE unlocked for $399. Customers who want to pair it with an AT&T data plan are eligible to receive a $100 bill credit. Interested?

Nope, pretty sure Nexus 9 will be better, seeing as how HTC is making it, has K1, stock Android with Google support and of course, priced for the average person.

since it is nexus it won't have micro SD slot. i like nexus (own both N7 2012 and 2013 myself) device but if i was given and option between this new nexus and shield tab i will pick shield tab because of micro sd slot. updates might come a bit later than nexus but i can endure that. even with my desktop GPU i'm no longer rushing to get latest driver once it comes out like i did before.

The Nexus 9 is garbage. $599 for pretty much this tablet with a dual core 64 bit CPU and no MicroSD card slot. Not worth the upcharge.

I went with this. I'll probably reconsider once the Xperia ships, but I like NVIDIA's built in button mapping and their well thought-out cover.

I hope that this will have Geforce PC streaming, how nice would that be.

Just so you know for future reference, in England we spell it separately. Just like colour, aluminium etc... Just one of the many things our nations do differently

Well, I guess "seperately" doesn't have anything to do with "differences between nations", its all about US educational system
