Nokia N1 now available to order in the UK and mainland Europe
Initially released only in China and Taiwan, the Nokia N1 can now be bought in Europe. The tablet is available to order via, and it looks like customers in the UK can receive it in 48 hours, or - for an extra £5 - in 24 hours. Orders from mainland Europe are also accepted, but only for an extra £15.

The N1 tablet itself costs £219.00 - about $342, or €314. We have to mention that the website is not maintained by Nokia, but buy a UK-based company that seems to be an official reseller of the N1.

Manufactured by Foxconn, the Nokia N1 runs Android Lollipop customized with Nokia's Z launcher. It's a pretty thin (6.9 mm) aluminum-made slate that offers plenty of attractive features, including a 7.9-inch display with 1536 x 2048 pixels, a quad-core 2.3 GHz Intel Atom processor, an 8 MP rear camera, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and a 5400 mAh battery.

The Nokia N1 could soon be released in India, too. It doesn't look like the tablet will be available in North America, but we're going to let you know when we hear more about this.

This was an awesome tablet back when it was introduced in November 2014. I'm just shocked that it took so long to open it up to other markets, I don't know too many people who would be interested in buying a year old device especially with how fast tech advances.

Yup. Besides who wants an iPad mini rip-off when you can get the iPad mini 3 here in UK for the same price. Great customer service, support and updates from Apple. Not to mention better tablet optimized apps in iOS.

Why would you want a Mini 3 when you can get a Mini 2. They're basically the same device.

Paying extra 100 just for touch id, feels waste of money.

" I'm just shocked that it took so long to open it up to other markets, " Because its not Foxcoon that sells it, not Nokia... The only thing from Nokia there is the brand..

Too bad it runs Android!

It can't run iOS and for full Windows it has poor specs plus if you don't run desktop programs (what you wouldn't most likely do with tablet, and as said, specs are underwhelming for them) it would have inferior tablet experience compared to Android where there are so many, quality wise better tablet optimized apps.

It's price should've halved not doubled 9 months after its announcement. I was really hoping to buy one before its EOL, but not for this kind of money. You get an Asus MeMoPad ME572C (great tab, awful name) with the basicly the came SOC, fullhd 7" screen and GPS for USD180 here, which puts the N1's USD340 price to shame.

How I wish N1 would be running Nokia own OS, I miss the time they are the one who developing the OS for their device.

You mean Symbian or Meego?

Meego was way better than Android!

Too little too late. Personally I will wait for Android M bundled devices.

They should bring a 10 or even 12 inch version!
