New iOS 7 concept shows off enhanced Siri functionality

New iOS 7 concept shows off enhanced Siri functionality
A new iOS 7 concept designed by Christian Lue and Ran Avni has been captured on video. The new build of Apple's mobile OS features panoramic wallpaper and a Quick Reply feature. In this concept, Siri displays rumored integration with Flickr and Vimeo as well as integration with some other iPhone applications. With the Music app, there are some new features that come in handy. Tap on the currently playing song in the Now Playing section and you get to see which tunes are coming up. Simple, but effective.

Some other interesting concepts include using thumbnail icons to launch a folder of related apps. The Settings application would give the user more control over certain functions such the ability to sort icons by usage or by name. The design itself has the flat look that Jony Ive is said to favor, and there is not a skeumorphic image in sight!

Exactly Samsung have the intuition to release multiple phones.....something apple are too arrogant to do...now go and graze with the rest of the flock!

Its a concept which basically means very slim chance any of these features will show up.

Today's world of technology is basically not innovation per sei, but rather development on previous innovative ideas. Just thinking B-)

A shame Apple doesn't look at these concepts people come up with & put them to use. This is REALLY good. I love the Quick Reply feature; I'd use that heavily. But, there's 2 things Apple needs to work on/fix: 1. When in a 3 way call, provide us the option to hang up with one caller & not both if wanted, or when an incoming call comes in while your already on the phone, instead of just swapping calls, let us be able to hang up with that person. 2. Can we please get LED notification light? It's actually really useful. 3. Add a way we can call a contact from inside the messaging app without having to scroll all the way back to the top of the conversation. Just to name a few.........

What the hell....what exactly is new on here. I had panoramic wallpapers 4 years ago. Apple needs a new UI....it's soooooo dated.

Not being an Apple basher but although it does look much more flat, there is little forward other than integration with more services which is natural evolution for any platform. A few nuggets like panoramic wallpaper should have been there but nice addition for many people I am sure. Beyond that, the same os that Apple users would probably love though it may not grow that base through that alone.

Not a skeumorphic image in sight? The toggle buttons are still skeumorphic, as well as the clock shown in Siri.

Panoramic wallpapers... I can see Apple doing this as a follow up to all those Panoramic Photos that they just added. Sad part is Android has had this for years now. Upgrade to music app... another item that I have been enjoying for years on Android. Quick Reply.... I wasn't aware that IOS didn't already support this.... Again I have been using it for years on Android. I did like the order me a pizza addition to Siri.... that would be finally a real addition of intelligence to Siri. Fingers crossed for all you IOS users.... hopefully you will get something similar to these handy dandy features soon.
