The front screen should be larger than 5.5-inches, and feature a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The handset is believed to be powered by the 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 SoC. This chipset contains an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU and the Mali-T760 GPU. 2GB of RAM is rumored to be inside.
The Sony Lavender will have Android 5.0 installed out of the box, and a dual SIM version will be available. The phone has a model number of E5503 and is expected to be priced as a mid to upper-range model.
Thanks for the tip!

No matter how beautiful this phone maybe it will only do well if the price is right . Sony products are usually too expensive that's why they are struggling.

Uh? There are some $100 or less than Samsung or Apple. For the last 3-4 years (since their existence as Sony actually) Sony flagships have been consistently cheaper than Samsung or Apple flagships. And their midrangers may not be cheap, but their not above competition either. It's a funny misconception that Sony phones are expensive. Unless if you compare them to white box Chinese manufacturers, but I think Sony is more of a Samsung level competitor.

"but I think Sony is more of a Samsung level competitor." Simply no , have you owned a sony phone nowadays ? there's a reason there are cheaper. sony screens are awful no way they can compare with S-Amoled or the IPS on Apple phones , I hated the display on my Z1 worse than my Old iPhone 5 in color fidelity and brightness , luckily I have a galaxy S now , best display ever , no way sony can compete. Plus it's the same with camera , Sony used to be a quality manufacturer at one point years ago but they seem to be missing the boat on using the right tech.

Dude, I own a Z2. Despite the same looks, it's a massive improvement over the Z1. If you went from a Z1 to a Galaxy S5 or newer Galaxy, I can understand, but the Z2 and Z3 are easily on Samsung levels or better. Great screens, better battery life than Samsung, digital noise cancellation, waterproofing. The only aspect where Samsung are seriously better is the imaging department, but Sony phones have other advantages. They are really on same level or better and still they cost much much less.

If pictures are confirmed, it has smaller over all dimensions than LG G4 or equal foot print with S6? Boy it would be awkward for LG if this 5.5" thing have better monster specs than G4 or M9. I'd love to see the software optimization on this.

What do you need such low aperture for? More artifacts? What matters the mot is sensor's size and IMX220 installed in Z1/Z2/Z3 is bigger than the one you can find in basically all other flagship (except some crazy Nokias with 40 or so megapixels).
