New Samsung Galaxy Note 7 images leak out alongside price and dimensions
As almost always in recent years, leaked photos and information seem to be spoiling the fun for Samsung (and plenty of other companies) before various major announcements. Case in point: Samsung is all set to officially announce the Galaxy Note 7 next week, on August 2, but we already know quite a lot about the new device.

Earlier today, we had the chance to see a 360-degree image allegedly showing the Note 7, and now French website Nowhereelse has plenty of other leaked renders (in high-resolution, no less), plus details on the dimensions, weight, and price of the upcoming handset.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Note 7 measures 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm, and weighs 168 grams - so it's nearly as large as the Galaxy Note 5, though it's slightly narrower (likely thanks to its dual-curve screen). The new smartphone should become the first Galaxy Note to be dust- and water-resistant (IP68-certified), as well as the first to feature an iris scanner.

Nowhereelse has it that the Galaxy Note 7 will cost around €850 in France (in line with previous rumors), which means it could be sold for around $800-$850 in the US. A next-gen Samsung Gear VR headset is expected to debut alongside the Note 7, and you can check it out below, after the renders that reportedly show the new Note (in three colors: blue, silver, and black).

Presumably, what you're seeing below is the real deal, though we must keep in mind that nothing is official until Samsung finally announces the devices, so we can't be certain that these are indeed the Galaxy Note 7 and the new Gear VR headset.

850 is quite expensive though, just for a galaxy edge with an iris scanner and a spen, don't know if it can be justified, but then again, Apple does the same thing with its plus models. Let's hope the base model starts at 64GB for the note, then it could at least a bit justifiable

Really? OK let's check your theory. I won't mention any phone just the GALAXY. The S is roughly 650/750/850 for 32/64/128 on the S6 model. Even though the S7 doesn't have. 128GB version, it still starts at the same 649 for 32GB and 749 for the edge model. The Note has always been $100 more than the S. So the at 749 and 849 for 32/64. So one size...64GB at $800 where you are paying $50 for more storage, curved glass, IP68 certification is too much? Seriously?

It not the same as Apple. Apple give you nothing and they reside the cost of the iPhone 6 $100. What did you get for it? Nothing. The Note is coming with a revamped design, edge glass, IP68 certification, expandable storage, better cameras and you're sayings it's not worth $50 more than last year's model? I believe I paid $779 for my Note 5 I have to go back and check. So in my case the new Note potentially costs me $30 more. For that $30 the sdcard is back, the waterproofing and the edge glass are all included plus faster focusing cameras and USB Type C which also offer faster data transfers and fast charging and you're sayings it's not worth a small price increase of $30m When Apple went up a full $100 and gave nothing. Samsung increase the size of S and other my went up a small amount. The Galaxy S was starting at 599. With the S6 it went up to $649. For thatv $50 you got better camera, larger battery, faster charging, wireless charging and more. The iPhone from the 5s to the 6 increase a full $100. What did you get? Hardly anything. How is that like Apple? You must be high. It's not even in the same ballpark. Like what you like but don't make false comparisons.

Narrower! Nothing like the Note series. What's wrong with Samsung, following thier S series. Big let down: 170g is to light, vs ip6s+ at 200g. No 4000Mah No 6GB Ram No E8893 Will see what Ip7+ offers. Samsung you've upset alot of fans and users. Will wait for N8, till then my S7 is superb.

I know anything would. But what I hate is, it will be narrower, it won't be wide as N5. The E8890 is a very fast Cpu. I wouldn't mind. But narrower, nooooooooo.

Ya I did notice the S7 and S7 edge seem slimmer too,i thought naw but now you said this ya note 7 may be the same way it seemed the screens were taller??? But I'm on the note 7 anyway but like always have hands on at the store first!!!! But thanks for that information on it being narrower and not as wide.. +1 Amroze..

Sales isn't an argument. The fact you keep using it shows you have nothing to fight with. Stop being a pea-shoiter to a fight with real guns. Oh last I heard, the GALAXY S7 is outselling the iPhone in the US. So it doesn't even beat in all sales.

Yes the new S7 outsold a year old phone. About time. LMAO. Good one hahahahahahaha

That would mean the ifone has been available for a year longer, and the S7 still outsold it? Is that right?

57. Unordinary unregistered

You are an idiot. Outsold in this past quarter lol.

Good answer mate if the new iPhone has 3GB of ram everyone will say that the new iPhone is definitely worth the upgrade

Lol, the last thing to bash Apple with is with RAM, I mean come on, the systems have different methods of RAM management, 3GB ram on iOS should suffice for even the hardest task, an iPad air 2 with "just" 2GB ram multitask than any Android tablet with 2GB ram, LOL, not to mention I also own one. Anyway, iPhone is kind of a let off this year, but you shouldn't have bashed it because of RAM, that's so 2013-2014
