Motorola XOOM 4G updates expire on March 31st
If you are rocking a Motorola XOOM, but still are using 3G, time is running out for you to receive the free update to 4G LTE. On March 31st, the Motorola website supporting the XOOM update will shut down, but the manufacturer will still add 4G to your tablet as long as it receives your unit by April 11th. It seems like it has been ages since Motorola first told potential XOOM buyers that they would have to send in their unit to them to receive the LTE 4G update. The first models were received by Motorola in the middle of last September.
Before you send in your Motorola XOOM, there are a number of things you need to do with your tablet such as transferring your content, backing up your Google account, encrypting or deleting the data on your XOOM, and then packing up the unit and shipping it to Motorola. Once it is received by the manufacturer, you will receive an email with a link that will allow you to track the return home by your Motorola XOOM 4G.
