The Moto Z4 Force isn't happening, Motorola confirms
The Moto Z2 Force isn't getting a successor

Rumors floating around earlier this month pointed towards the existence of a flagship Moto Z4 Force. Adding further fuel to the fire was a retail listing this week that specifically mentioned Motorola’s rumored flagship. But now the Chicago-based brand has put an end to speculation.

When asked via Twitter if there were plans for a Moto Z4 Force at some point later this year, the Lenovo-owned company revealed that it “will not be announcing additional Moto Z devices this year.” As a result, there will be no flagship Moto Z4 Force.

It’s unclear at this stage if there were ever plans for a Moto Z4 Force – the rumors and retail listings that surfaced this month may have been baseless – but this certainly wouldn’t be the first time Motorola has canceled a project. Last year alone, the company shelved the Moto C2, Moto C2 Plus, and Moto X5

Regarding Motorola’s future plans, the brand is currently developing a quadruple-camera smartphone that offers a notched display just like the Moto Z4 and an all-new rear design. Internal details are yet to leak, but if Motorola does have plans for a return to the flagship segment, this will probably be the device it uses.

So will there not be a flagship design from Moto this year then?

Unless the quadruple-camera phone they have in the works turns out to be a flagship, there won't be.

That one must be sibling of One Vision.

The quadruple camera device is supposedly Moto reviving the ROKR brand.

That was actually just a guess I made assuming the triple-camera phone they are working on was called One Pro. But yesterday's leak seems to indicate that phone will actually be called One Action. So the quadruple-camera model could be called the One Pro rather than ROKR. Again, just another educated guess. But Motorola may have trademarked ROKR to protect the name and not because they have any plans to use it.

People around where I lived loved the option of the Force model, but Not too surprised they aren't bringing it back since they didn't last time around.

So, whatever happened to the phone that was codenamed "Odin?"

From what I understand Motorola WONT release any more Flagship models soon because Lenovo plans to use its own brand for the Top models and the Motorola brand for lower end devices, we'll see how this goes because it makes no real sense as the Lenovo brand is not sold in as many places as the motorola brand does... also as somebody else said, there was supposed to be an "odin" codenamed device... maybe a z4 force prototype or wth?

Right. Odin was supposed to be compatible with the 5G mod and have the 855 SD chip. Makes sense that it was a prototype that they decided to scrap last minute.
