The Moto Z4 Force isn't happening, Motorola confirms
The Moto Z2 Force isn't getting a successor

Rumors floating around earlier this month pointed towards the existence of a flagship Moto Z4 Force. Adding further fuel to the fire was a retail listing this week that specifically mentioned Motorola’s rumored flagship. But now the Chicago-based brand has put an end to speculation.

When asked via Twitter if there were plans for a Moto Z4 Force at some point later this year, the Lenovo-owned company revealed that it “will not be announcing additional Moto Z devices this year.” As a result, there will be no flagship Moto Z4 Force.

It’s unclear at this stage if there were ever plans for a Moto Z4 Force – the rumors and retail listings that surfaced this month may have been baseless – but this certainly wouldn’t be the first time Motorola has canceled a project. Last year alone, the company shelved the Moto C2, Moto C2 Plus, and Moto X5

Regarding Motorola’s future plans, the brand is currently developing a quadruple-camera smartphone that offers a notched display just like the Moto Z4 and an all-new rear design. Internal details are yet to leak, but if Motorola does have plans for a return to the flagship segment, this will probably be the device it uses.
