More Sony Xperia XZ1 official renders leak out, specs and new color option also emerge

We're exactly one day away from the official announcement of Sony's new handsets. The Japanese company is likely to unveil three new smartphones at IFA in Berlin, the most high-end of them being the Sony Xperia XZ1

A bunch of official renders of the XZ1 has emerged yet again on Roland Quandt's Twitter account. As you may know, the reliable tipster initially uploaded a few images of the device back on August 23, but the latest set of pics does reveal some new things.

We now know that the phone will have at least three color options, with blue joining the black and pink variants. The new renders also show the entire back of the XZ1. Furthermore, we finally get a complete look of the antenna lines which are placed on the side of the device, and we have to say that we're impressed with that part of the design.

In his tweet, Quandt also mentions that the XZ1 will weigh in at 156g (5.5 oz), while its thickness will stand at 7.4mm (0.29 in). Apart from that, he confirms that the handset will boast a 5.2-inch 1080p HDR screen and a 2,700mAh battery, which is pretty much in line with the information provided by earlier leaks.

If you're excited about the new Sony phones, make sure to check back with us tomorrow, as we will be covering the company's IFA press conference in real time.
