Let's unbox the HTC U Ultra! Here's our first look at HTC's large new handset

Remember the HTC U Ultra, the dual-screen 5.7-incher that was "inspired by you and made for you"? Announced two months ago, it's already shipping to the adventurous folks that had pre-ordered it for $749. Guess what, we're also part of that crowd, as a neat white box with rounded corners got delivered to our doorstep overnight.
phone for the money - although it didn't quite garner the usual amount of hype and attention, the U Ultra is a flagship-grade phone. With its 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 821 chipset, the HTC Sense companion assistant, and finally, a secondary ticker display at the front of the phone. HTC has definitely drawn inspiration from LG's V10 and V20 devices for that feature, but who are we to judge...At first sight, you seem to get a lot of
Inside the box, you will find:
- HTC U Ultra
- Protective case
- Cleaning cloth
- USB Type-C in-ear headphones
- Quick-charging power adapter
- USB Type-C cable
- SIM ejector tool
- Manuals and leaflets
Anyway, let's see what's inside the HTC U Ultra box and also have a first look at the device itself.
- Display 5.7" 1440 x 2560 pixels
- Camera 12 MP / 16 MP front
- Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, Quad-core, 2150 MHz
- Storage 64 GB + microSDXC
- Battery 3000 mAh(26h 3G talk time)

The LG looks bad, doesn't have Sense, and above all is an LG. I've had friends buy G3s and G4s and not even one satisfied customer after six months. Oh and all G3s eventually ended up with torn mics and G4s bootlooped except for one (out of five).

First of all, having Sense isn't a plus in any way imaginable. I have a HTC Desire 820 as my second phone and sense is just plain terrible. Second of all, G3s and G4s are cheap alternatives to flagships, and are even worse than the K series, or L series in the past years, so you're comparing apples and oranges. Lastly, the U is so overpriced my head hurts... It's copying the V20, which has a better camera, headphone jack, is cheaper and i'd say looks better (but that's subjective, ofc). You can get a better phone at almost half a price in OnePlus 3T.

Jeez, say what you want about the specs and HTC as a whole, but that is one seriously gorgeous phone.

Someone said about this phone that it's a flop of the year. But I would call it flop of the decade. Terrible device. Design looks outdated right out of box, small battery for screen size, no 3.5 mm (HTC said they had a courage to remove it, but there is very thin border between courage and idiocy...), no water proof, shiny fancy back is not for serious people (can you imagine high management person with such phone?), ugly camera hump, gimmicky second screen and so on. And besides all that - crazy price tag. In other words, HTC took everything bad and useless what was in other phones from all manufacturers and put it all together in this model...

The back looks identical to the Note5. What were they thinking regarding the price?
