We've seen pictures of what has been called
the shell belonging to the low-cost Apple iPhone. The device, dubbed the
Apple iPhone Lite, is expected to be shipped to emerging markets to compete with red-hot low priced phones like the
Nokia Lumia 520. Now, we have a series of pictures originating from case manufacturer TACTUS that allegedly reveals an assembled model of the iPhone Lite.
Comparing the iPhone Lite to the
Apple iPhone 5, we can see that Apple will keep a
4 inch screen on the cheaper version of the phone. We've seen different colored shells which means that buyers of the handset will have different options to choose from. According to the source behind the pictures, the volume and mute buttons on each unit will match the color of the shell. At 9mm thick, the iPhone Lite is 1.5mm thicker than the Apple iPhone 5, and is 120mm wide.
