Leaked Note 8 vs iPhone 8 screen protectors size up the eventual dimensions

Look, Ma, prematurely released screen protectors! The accessory industry, restless as it is, has already churned out cases and screen protectors for both the upcoming Note 8, and Apple's "all-screen" iPhone 8. We've seen those sad, alone, and separate from each other, but someone has had the brilliant idea to put them together, and snap a photo for the next generations to gawk at. In the best of scenarios, pre-release accessories are based on leaked CADs and other schematics from the supply chain, rather than just rumors and guesstimates, so they approximate the real thing to a great extent.

If this is the case here, we might be looking at how the smaller, allegedly 5.8" display of the iPhone 8 would size up next to the Note 8's potentially 6.3" panel, given that the iPhone is mostly screen at the front, save for a "notch" at the top to house sensors, cameras and other paraphernalia, while Samsung's phablet would still have some top and bottom bezels left, albeit minimal. As you can see, half an inch screen diagonal and some more bezel-ing make a big difference, so the iPhone 8 would definitely be the easier one to haul around, if these dimensions hold water in the end.

Seems the Screen-protector for the supposed iPhone 8 certainly isn't lacking a Home-button cutout. Or is it just a poorly-placed white sticker?

Note 8 reminds me somehow of LG chocolate BL40

Yeah, eventually we are going to end up with a remote like phone with all these aspect ratios, 21:9 is probably the next thing.

Omfg...it is the note series VS an ordinary phone. Why don't you put the S8 next to the iPhone 8? Then you will see it is much easier to handle.....amazing how far brainwashed people will go...

Kiko007, He is right. it should not be the note 8 compared with iPhone 8 but the S8 as they are both not in the phablet category. The Note 8 should be compared wit he iPhone 7s plus, However, PA is going on comparing new device that will be released.

PA isn't comparing the phones. They are showing the differences in the screen protectors of the next new phones from the top 2 OEMs. The base iPhone is best compared with the Samsung A3 or A5 where the iPhone Plus is better compared with the S8. Not the S8+. S8 alone already has nearly double the resolution of the iPhone 7+ with a near same sxreen size. In fact it beats the iOhone in every metric that matters. It has better CPU, better cameras, better display, better modems, better connector, still has a headphone jack, has fast charhing, bigger and lo her lasting battery under heavier loads, last 2 days on a single charge, splitscreen, and so much more. The iPhone was a cool great device when it was the o my really cool and great device. Now it is one cool great device amongst a Forrest of them and the iPhone is a tree easy to miss in the mass amount of greenery. The iPhone no longer stands out because it has been beaten in every metric, that were once its Browning points. It use to have the finest cameras, best display, best storage, best battery, best everything. Now it's loses in every metric. But its praise based on things that were awesome 10 years ago. Now those things are history and the fans cant let go. It would be like Sears coming out and saying, well we once had the world's tallest building and now we dont but, we had the best and we aren't letting go.

Is discusses only screen protectors size not the design of the iPhone 8. We still don't know the exact deisgn and specification of the iphone 8.

Yeah that would be cool- But would that be a battery drain? Does anyone know if that type of re-fresh rate is taxing on the battery of the new iPad or even if the new iPad had to have a bigger battery to handle that type of re-fresh rate? Because that would mean the iPhone 8 if it had this feature would have to have a larger batter than 3000mW ?

I really hate that notch on the Iphone 8 and the Essential PH1!! Yuck!! My comment: How is the Iphone 8 Screen Measured? is it from corner to corner or is the 5.8 a measure of the workable (uninterrupted) space. It seems inaccurate if including the interrupted space as I would imagine it would be dead space during videos. I wish they would have went with a consistent design on both the bottom and top (like a LG G6) with the new 120mhz screen. It would be amazing. I still wouldn't purchase due to operational preferences but it would be nice.
