LG Q6 (LG G6 mini) to be unveiled on July 11th?
It was just a few days ago when tipster Evan Blass disseminated a tweet stating that the LG G6 mini will be called the LG Q6. On Wednesday, an invitation was released for an event to be held on July 11th. On that date, LG will introduce the LG Q6. According to Blass, this device will feature a 5.4-inch screen with 3GB of RAM, an 18:9 aspect ratio, and a single 13MP rear-facing camera.

The introduction of the device is expected to take place in Poland although it remains to be seen whether Poland will be the the only country receiving the LG Q6, or if other regions will be getting it. The irony of this whole thing is that it seems strange to call a handset with a 5.4-inch display a "mini phone." Back in 2010, the Motorola DROID X and the HTC HD2 each carried a 4.3-inch screen, which seemed at the time to be outlandishly large. In comparison, the full-sized LG G6 comes with a 5.7-inch display carrying a 1440 x 2880 resolution.

Next week at this time, we should know all about the LG Q6. Circle July 11th on your calendar, and be prepared to find out on that date all about the the LG G6 mini aka the LG Q6.

I'm hoping there is a global release and that the target price is around $400, considering the regular G6 is on sale for $500 or less right now. I would be interested in it.

$400 is interesting price for this device... I just wondering if the bootloop problem already fixed.

Stop with the variations! G Series, V Series, Stylo Series, X Series, K Series, and leave it at that. No G6 Plus or LG Q6!

It would've been a little more perfect for me if the wide angle lens was part of the package.

LG is slacking behind. When every flagship now equips with sd835, LG is still stuck with 820/21 and 6xx series. Internally, they must be having issues with sd835. Another 6 months and others would be working on sd845 while LG is yet to launch any device with sd835.

The reason they didn't have the 835 on the G6 was not because of internal issues, but because Samsung got all of the first orders of the 835 since they were the ones producing it. Samsung's foundry is the one that makes the 835 processor. Therefore, there could be no phone with an 835 before the S8 was introduced, so LG took the chance of releasing the G6 before the S8 with a lesser processor in order to try to get sales before the S8 was released. The V30 will have the 835 processor which should be the same processor found in the Galaxy Note 8. The only reason why this Q6 may not have the 835 in it is because they risk the "mini" version of the G6 having a more powerful processor than the larger G6, which they would never want to do.

LG G6, if it has a 5.4" 1080p 18:9 display, SD660+4GB RAM, 64GB ROM with the similar IP68 rated body and B&O play and a price tag of around $400..!! Thats going to be sweet since in a month or two the price will be around $250-300..!!!!

The LG G6 Plus is going to be released soon, and with the very same Snapdragon 821 of the G6...https://www.phonearena.com/news/Meet-the-LG-G6-in-LGs-first-official-video-for-the-supercharged-version-of-its-flagship_id95667 What's the excuse this time?

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, LG would never want the "mini" version to have a better processor than the larger version. It wouldn't make sense for that to happen, and I don't think any manufacturer does that. So they would be sticking with a lower processor.

If there's going to be a separate announcement for this mini, it must be some good stuff. Maybe it will have the same SD821 as the G6.
