Here's the LG G6 in white, platinum, and black

Here's the LG G6 in white, platinum, and black
With only two days to go until LG kicks off its G6 launch event at MWC 2017, we've had the chance to look at plenty of photos and renders that (seemingly) show the upcoming smartphone. But there's always room for one more leak, right?

The newly leaked image that you can examine below presents the LG G6 in three color variants: mystic white, astro black, and ice platinum. We kind of knew that these three G6 color versions existed (see here, here, and here), but it's certainly nice to be able to glance upon an image that shows them all in one place.

Posted on Twitter by Evan Blass (@evleaks), the new image can be seen as a re-confirmation (albeit an unofficial one) of the fact that the G6 is very different from its predecessor, the LG G5. Among other novelties, the new LG flagship phone offers a large 5.7-inch FullVision display with rounded corners, a water-resistant metal body, and a dual rear camera that doesn't protrude. Also of note is that this is not a modular device.

While we're waiting for LG to finally reveal all that there is to know about the G6 (including carrier and pricing details), you may want to check out our G6 rumor review.

I take a plain solid phone thats i can protect easily over a edge screen thats loose part of its screen just for novelty.

Device looks alright to me. Looking forward to seeing some hands on videos of it this weekend. Blackberry Mercury too!

I'm super hyped for the Mercury. I'll be tuned in for sure. This looks decent to me as well. Then again, I love screen real estate.

They should at least change their rear camera placement, it looks so much like G5 and the G5 is ugly. The front....... just plain... and that asymmetric bezels........

I thought I was gonna be excited by the ice platinum. The name alone sounds so intrigued. Then I saw it, and I'm like "Ya...eah no." lol. I prefer the material that's used for the Black of white to be used on the Ice Platinum color. The brushed metal just looks boring like every other smartphone. Either way, it looks dope! I'm excited. Hopefully they have a new and improved camera sensor, and don't do like they did with the G4, V10, and G5. Hopefully it's not the IMX298 sensor in the V20 and it's like the IMX362 or IMX378

It's actually probably the same material, but the black and white just look better with it, and because of the shade, they look like a more appealing material.

My only complaint is the 821. I can't help but think that there will be a G6+ or G6 Pro out 4-6 months later that has the 835 in it but is otherwise the same phone.

SD 835 going to come with V30.

and when V30 released, other manufacturer already use higher clock version of SD835 (probably they'll call it SD836, just like SD821 to SD820)

Exactly. Technology is too progressive. Everything is gonna be outdated in a very short time-frame.

Do you guys realize you're making an argument for getting the G6 with its SD821 as long as the benchmarks are above a certain criteria? If I'm following you're logic, not only should I not get the G6 because the 821 is already dated, I should probably avoid the S8 and SD835 because the 836 is just a few months down the road with the V30. But that means the 840/841 will likely be out in Q2 of 2018, so I should just wait till then. But hell, they'll have the 850 announced by the time I've settled on which phone with the 840/841 I want, so I'll just wait for those... You've gotta get off the ride at some point. Find a phone that works for what you need and get it. For many people, the G6 will suit that purpose just fine.

This is not the same at all. Yes, there will be an 850 or such soon enough. This is an issue of them releasing a flagship phone and not using the current flagship chipset even though their chief rival is using it. You can never stay current but it would be nice to not start a generation behind.

Phone won't have a chance against the S8/S8 Plus.

I'll stick with my S7 Edge. S7 Edge looks better than this LG G6 render. It can't be called an upgrade since it has the SD821 which is a tweaked version of SD820. They should have waited for the SD835 to become available.

look very generic. LG is way way way behind in terms of design...

The design of the G6 is much better than the galaxy s8, LG G6 is more practical. This year things will be much better for LG. The processor is the least I do not think there is much difference between 821 and 835. I can' wait

I am excited with the camera. with the design, I don't know what to feel. It looks a bit generic and bland and might be uglier in person just like the other LG flagships which look only good on paper
