LG G2 just $49.99 on contract at Verizon

LG G2 just $49.99 on contract at Verizon
Waiting for a price break on the powerful LG G2? Well then, we have some great news for you. Verizon is now offering the beastly Android powered handset for just $49.99 with a signed two-year contract. With an extremely thin bezel surrounding the 5.2 inch 1080 x 1920 FHD screen, this model is certainly for those who love to watch video, and the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU under the hood has the horsepower to run the device smoothly.

Verizon customers will apparently not get a shot at the Nexus 5, but this is the next best thing and even includes a much larger capacity 3000mAh battery to make sure you get many hours of use between charges. Originally priced at $199.99 on contract, we're not sure how long this pricing will last. So if the LG G2 has been in your dreams, this might be the your best shot at buying it at a hugely discounted price.

Could be because the white model is coming in, does anyone think the white model will debut at 199.99 or cheaper? Hoping to get the white for a good price.

This probably means it's not selling to well.

As great as this phone is, I'm guessing most sales are going towards the Nexus 5, Note 3, and iPhone 5S.

Yep I agree, low sales would be the only reason they would drop prices for a device like this. +1

I just got mine (on Wednesday and it is my first LG phone) from At&t and it's an amazing phone !! I was ready to get a N5 and the only reason I got this is the battery life. It definitely lasts more than a day of heavy use with a single charge.

You get more than a day of usage?! Mine lasts almost 11-12 hours on moderate to heavy usage. What kinda usage do you put it through? Frankly I am a little disappointed in the battery life in comparison to what others claim.

Yes... .I mainly use it for phone calls, texting, whatsapp messenger and internet browsing. No music or movies. Every day except yesterday my battery lasted from 6:30 AM until 10 PM with about 40 % left. However yesterday for some reason battery drained very quickly with the same usuage I was at 10% at 6PM.. So that was wierd. Today it's fine agaon.

I get a day and half. Got it for 5 days now. Every day my mobile data/3G is always on. At same time wi-fi is always on. I use whatsapp all the time. Texting. Emails. Browsing. Few games. No videos or music almost at all. I love that I can charge it really fast like my old iPhone 5. LG has put some technology in it making it charge 30% faster than it would usually. This beast is full of great technologies not many know about.

Used a code from retailmenot to get the G2 for free. I was waiting for the moto x but for 150 less, I'll go to the g2.

G2 is one of the best android phones out at the moment. It's unfortunate, but the price drop means it's not selling as well as they expected. It's a shame because it's an amazing phone. The screen size, battery, and features are all top notch. It is better than Galaxy S4 and Nexus 5. I chose Nexus 5 because of the price but if they were priced the same, I would've definitely bought the G2.

G2 better than S4... Yes, in (1) Display non-pentile and bigger (2) Snap800 vs 600 (3) 3000 vs 2600mAh G2 better than Nexus5?? May be (1) Camera (2) Battery But still Nexus5 is better than G2 (1) ROM availability (2) upto date updates (3) cheaper FULL retail price

The only thing N5 has over G2 is the immediate updates and wireless charging. Nothing else. The G2 has better, camera, bigger screen almost same size, much better battery. Really nice extra apps features that LG has put into it. Super fast charging. Much better speakers and is only phone that can truly play 192kbs songs through its speakers(something like that). Its screen has special graphical RAM that reduces power consumption. Really small bezel, looks amazing in front. I know N5 is cheaper but to be honest all this and few more features are more than enough to be better than the fast updates of N5. Not to mention N5 is sold only via google play, Outside of it its almost same price as G2 and goole play is available to only few countries. I mean the selling hardware part of google play. My 2 sents.

My local Verizon store is all but ignoring the G2. They have big displays for Apple, Droid, and Galaxy, but the G2 was a single unit at the end of the row. The sales people push the Galaxy S4 even though the G2 beats it in certain respects. I don't think Verizon particularly cares how well it sells. They still view LGs as their midrange.

i'm a bit confused with verizon's pricing strategy. this beast is significantly cheaper than the less capable s4 and the htc one is less than the droid dna.

Supply and demand, I guess. They must not be moving many G2s or Ones compared to S4s. As for the DNA, supply should be minimal now, so anyone looking for one will pay full price.

Verizon wants to sell this and the One for 199 but they aren't moving the product. Why Verizon wants to sell them? Because they're cheaper for Verizon to buy. Also why they love to try to push Blackberry and Windows phones. They wouldn't if they could sell Samsungs or Apple products because Verizon makes the least amount of money off them. Their logic more or less is if they price drops and more positive reviews get out there they'll get more sales at 199.99. As far as the DNA vs One, that's because they don't want to move the DNA anymore. They had that push a few months ago when it was 50 bucks or free I forget.

Still no phone has topped this thing, i love mine. I paid 140$ for it with the discounts. This phone is worth every penny, at 50$ that's just insane. That is more than a steal, this phone is phenomenal ! I get like 60hours usage. That's 2 days of heavy use, mind blown
