Image of mystery Lumia phone spotted on official Microsoft site
On Microsoft's official devices blog in the U.S., is a story about how Windows Phone users can go about finding apps that work seamlessly with personal assistant Cortana. And while that is a useful topic, the most interesting part of the page is a photograph that shows a woman talking to Cortana while holding an unknown Lumia handset.

From earlier leaks, we know that the phone in the picture is not the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL. Both of those models will be unveiled this Tuesday, October 6th, in New York City. The handset is also not the Lumia 550 (again, based on a recent leak).

One suggestion is that the unnamed device could be the Microsoft Lumia 850. Rumored specs for that model were leaked during the summer at the same time that specs leaked for the Lumia 550 and Lumia 750 models. We could see a Lumia 850 unveiled before the end of the year, powered by the Snapdragon 410 SoC.

If you have a thought about which Lumia model is pictured on the official Microsoft blog, feel free to leave your guess in the box below.

Thanks for the tip!

Plastic or metal, let the mystery phone or the flagships have the grace and elegance of a 920 or a 1520.

either plastic or metal. This phone is looking beautiful. Better design than 950 and 950xl

Exactly. This is old but gold in design 930. Even Microsoft true this photo admit gorgeous design. And came up with bricks 950/950XL. UGLY AS HELL. And I'm windows phone user. I do not like the design of the new so called flagships. How they expect to attract Appleor Android ones?

Damn right. I'm dying to try a Windows phone as my daily driver so I need something to surpass my copper Z3. These aren't doing it for me.

There is no Lumia 930 model with a white front

It's not even white - that's just an overexposed reflection of the sky. Check the capacitive buttons and follow the black color on the left edge towards the phone's top. So ... It's a Lumia 930. Just not the black one.

Look like a white Lumia Icon / 930, except for the top of the phone.

It's just an overexposed reflection of the sky. The whole front is black, as usual.

An other BlackBerry clone for not only phonearena, but for the rest of the 2.7% population of this world.

Sorry, meant to say, MS is a BlackBerry clone not only for phonearena, but for the whole world apart from a specific 2.7% population. Can't edit my own responses on my phone, darn.

I do believe future Microsoft flagship phones will be of metal. The only reason 950 and 950 XL is made of plastic is the built in wireless charging. But Qualcomm WiPower makes it possible to have wireless charging built in phones made of metal and this technology is very new. Maybe the Surface phone will have it? But then again, the Surface phone is rumoured to have an Intel processor so who knows. The future of phones is looking very interesting :)

metal rim or full metal, and should be thin, otherwise just like 950 they look cheap and bland..

Hmm, I believe the device is a Nokia Lumia 930, i cant post a link, but on Microsoft Virtual Academy course 'Universal Windows App Development with Cortana and the Speech SDK', slide 14 on the first intro module there is another picture where you can see the face of the phone.
