How to enable Google Maps' location sharing feature on your phone right now

Did you hear about that saucy new Google Maps feature that will let you easily share your real-time location.

Well, the CIA already seems to know where you are at any point of the day, so why not share this sensitive information with your immediate kin or anyone of your choice while you're at it as well?

As usual with such new features, it's rolling out in waves as a staged rollout, which means that you might or might not get it earlier than others.

However, there seems to be a neat way to enable it right now. Discovered by Reddit user usuallymatt, the workaround requires you to use the desktop version of Maps.

Here's how to do that:

Didn'thave to do anything of this. I stumbled upon this new feature the other day but my wife didn't get the share
