How often do you post app reviews on Google Play or the App Store?
Contrary to popular conspiracy theories, developers can't delete a review you have posted for their apps in Google Play or the App Store. They can reply to it, and they do get some valuable information from a review besides its textual content, but they can't delete a comment, be it positive or negative.

What comes with your review is the type of device on which the app was installed, its manufacturer, hardware and software platforms, display pixel density, application version codes, and so on. These help devs with troubleshooting, and that's about it.

Given the fresh development around reviews in the Play Store, where Google will now let you "thumb up" separate comments you like, we wanted to ask you how often do you actually bother to post app reviews. We know you read them to get an idea what is wrong and right with an app, but do you ever post your experience with it for the world to see and become a better, more informed place? Tell us in the poll below.

How often do you post app reviews on Google Play or the App Store?

Dumb poll, too few choices and totally predictable that the most votes are going to go to Rarely.

I just comment to the devs if the app is buggy as hell, to get their attention really; I feel that if I emailed the dev directly, it may just end up in the SPAM section...

Same here. And for the apps I like I just rate 4 star or 5 star without comment.

I rate all my apps and only leave a written review if I would like to see more from the app, such as a dark theme option

Very often because if no one were to do that then developers would get away with crappy applications:D

I only do it when Apple makes an app for google play store, so I can give it 1 star and a bad reviews, because you know, it's Apple.

Should have been a comparison between play store or app store have more reviews... Like yes ( app store) yes ( play store) no () no () ... I find it very helpful when I'm searching an app and when I was using iPhone for a short period I was surprised there was very few review in app store and very weird stars feedback system. Maybe it was only me or it changed since.
