HTC video teases October 8th event; "something remarkable is coming" (Picture shows device)

HTC video teases October 8th event;
Apple has released the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. BlackBerry has launched the BlackBerry Passport. But according to HTC, we ain't seen nothing yet. In a 37 second video teaser for HTC's October 8th event, the manufacturer says "something remarkable is coming." The 37 second video shows people doing various activities, none of which seems related to any particular possible upcoming HTC device.

HTC has sent out invitations for an event titled "Double Exposure" which obviously has to do with photography. We've heard the talk about HTC introducing some sort of action camera that might connect to a new HTC "selfie" handset.

HTC has said that we should check out RECamera.com (which is not live at the moment) on October 8th. But could an action camera be considered "remarkable"? We're still looking for something handset related to be included with the event. In the meantime, you can check out the teaser by clicking on the video below.

UPDATE: A frame from the video apparently reveals what could be a waterproof rugged/action camera coming from HTC.

something remarkable is coming? judging by the video i'm guessing it'll be waterproof, have a slow motion video mode, an improved image sensor, image stabilisation, and have a selfie centric front facing camera. So basically a waterproof smartphone with improved camera (and hopefully HTC's use of premium materials).

Maybe "ReCamera" = Recycled Camera, i.e. yet another use for all the 4MP UltraPixel cameras that HTC has in their warehouses. Hopefully they did something worthwhile.

Maybe a photography based HTC One M8? Sort of like what Samsung did with the K Zoom.

I switch phones every 6 months or so, therefore, with that said, nothing really makes me want to get out of my m8. I want an even bigger screen, but LG & Apple disappoints, Passport, though scene smaller, is eye catching, but seems too tedious, having to wait to get home to connect to get trucking apps from play store, if they work at all (The battery, build, screen quality, reception, & speaker quality intrigues my interest), though I will say, the Note 4 has my attention. Touchwiz gets too laggy (yes, it does) & speaker quality may not be up to par. An m8 Max/ Prime with even louder BoomSound, SD 805, QHD, 6" screen with 590+ nits, 3200+ nah battery, & far improved main cam would be my pic. My m8 hasn't let me down since release day.

QHD is ridiculous for a smartphone, and is a battery killer. 1080p is fine.

Not necessary for every case. As u know QHD in Note 4 is much more power efficient than the FHD in Note 3

Honestly I'd take a HTC version of the Mate 7, get a SLCD screen in there/front facing speakers im sold(just dont have the htc logo at the bottom...).
