HTC happy with HTC One (M8) sales despite slow start
Despite the huge hype that the HTC One (M8) received prior to its launch, some data indicates that sales of the phone are off to a slow start. That is based on a study of mobile web traffic published by mobile ad network Chitika. Last year, one week after the launch of the HTC One, that model made up 1% of HTC's mobile web traffic in North America. This year, one week after the launch of the HTC One (M8), that phone represents just .1% of HTC's U.S. based web traffic. Keep in mind that this is only one week's worth of data, and doesn't include sales from T-Mobile, which will launch the phone on April 11th.

It is way too early for HTC to start to push the panic button. Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC Americas, sent out a tweet last night indicating that the Taiwan based manufacturer is "very satisfied" with the HTC One (M8)'s initial sales. Surely things will pick up for the HTC One (M8). It would be somewhat mystifying to see all that pre-release interest for a phone that nobody wanted.
