HTC RE Vive official product video keeps you interested in VR
Earlier this morning, HTC introduced its entry in the VR sweepstakes, the HTC RE Vive. With 70 sensors, the RE Vive gives you a 360 degree look at the virtual world. Besides allowing you to look around, you also will be able to walk around just like you do in the real world. A Developer Edition of the headgear will be out this Spring with the product being launched to the consumer in time for the 2015 holiday shopping season.

Pricing has not yet been discussed, and considering that we won't see the RE Vive available until this coming November at the earliest, that isn't a surprise. With the long lead time, HTC is counting on the video below (and perhaps others it will produce in the future) to keep you interested in the headgear until it can actually be purchased.

Besides the RE Vive, this morning at MWC HTC unveiled the HTC One M9 flagship smartphone and the HTC Re Grip. The latter is a smartband/fitness tracker. What we didn't see was the HTC One M9 Plus. Will the latter go the same way as the HTC One (M8) max (meaning that such a device was never seen by the public despite countless speculation) or will HTC launch it later this year?

it wont work as well as a qhd screens. you will be seeing pixels 100% even reviewers on the note 4 gear vr said they see pixels on it and it was qhd. imagine the pixels on a 1080p unless they do something magical with it. i wouldnt buy it. on the bright side. the 360 look and walking in virtual reality seems cool but i hope its on 2k screen on maybe the htc m9 plus.

You're quite right, but even QHD is not enough, 4K and 5K will be far better for VR But this one isn't 1080p Its 1200x1080 per an eye, not a 1440p split into two That means its its 2400x1080 in total So its 2560x1440 but cropped into about 21:9 instead of 16:9 2560x1080 is actually 21:9, this one is a little off Its ~21:9 instead of 16:9 because of the need for a wider field of view for VR The Gear VR is 96° This one is probably 110°+, maybe 120-130° (not announced yet) Also the Gear VR is only 60 Hz, this one is 90 Hz Higher frame rate is better, especially for VR But personally I'm still waiting for the 2nd or 3rd gen of VR since they will have higher resolutions, framerates,... and most importantly more content

I love their (HTC + Valve) presentation. Those graphics are awesome. In terms of VR's aesthetic design: Sony > Microsoft = Samsung > HTC = Oculus.
