HTC Pro stereo headset leaks in black and white

HTC Pro stereo headset leaks in black and white
Is HTC about to launch a premium set of earphones under its own brand? It sure seems so, looking at this pair of images that leaked just hours ago. The headset depicted in them is referred to as the HTC Pro. It has an in-ear design and appears to have been built with smartphones in mind as there's a microphone along its flat, tangle-free cable.

Unfortunately, the leak's source did not provide any technical details about the HTC Pro headset. Judging by the seemingly large housing, however, we can assume that the drivers inside are of a fairly large size.

This leak reminds us of the days when some of HTC's best phones came with Beats Audio earphones in the box. The HTC Rezound and the HTC Sensation XE, for example, were both bundled with earbuds by the popular brand. The HTC One M9, however, will not ship with an HTC Pro headset, according to the leak's source.

Yea I had 2 pair of those & 2 pair from the M8. They might be better than the Tours.

I'm always happy with the bundled earphones. They may not sound as good as premium IEM, but at least they are better compared to the majority of other bundled earphones by miles. But that flat cord is nothing exceptional. It's not as tangle-free as one might think it is.

HTC headphones are always fairly good enough. Hoping them to be as good as of iPhone's.

Hope they are good, would like to see some specs etc. They'll need to compete with Xiaomi Pistons, LG QuadBeat and Sony's MH1C. The latter two are old but they demonstrated how bundled earphones could sound good. HTC's previous bundled headphones (known as the MAX300 and MAX301 in China) have a bloated bass. The soundstage and instrument separation is very good but the bass can get overwhelming unless you tone it down. Also, the build quality was terrible (noisy cable, easily snaps apart).
