HTC EVO 4G already running Gingerbread
Money and Android developers never sleep which means that the HTC EVO 4G is already running Android 2.3 thanks to a beta ROM. Of course, it's developers-only version and also extremely buggy, but it's the first step towards the moment when many of the most popular Android handsets will get similar treat that will do the work for the end consumer.

Although this ROM is not stable, the guys at XDA-Developers are working hard to optimize it, so anticipate another news article soon saying that the HTC EVO 4G is running a bug-free version of Gingerbread. Chances are that it will be released before an official update take place. For more information on the newest Android update, see our article about the Nexus S and Gingerbread.
