HTC Desire on sale at Amazon in Germany
With Android 2.1 on board and a revamped version of the Sense UI, the HTC Desire is, well, becoming very desirable among phone buyers. As we recently reported, the handset has the usual super spec suspects like a Snapdragon chip and a 3.7 inch AMOLED display. It even offers full Flash support. You don't have to look too hard to see where HTC got the name from! With a Q2 launch in Europe and Asia and a March 26th release at T-Mobile UK, you can reserve your unit now thanks to the German subsidiary of Amazon (Amazon.de) where the handset is offered for pre-sell at 419 EUR which is equivalent to about $572 USD. That would put it in the same ballpark as the Nexus One. If the Desire does make it to one of Big Four in the U.S., we'd expect to see it run about $179-$199 with a 2 year contract.
