Gmail for iOS App Store listing has a tribute to Steve Jobs
Google has become famous for its liberal use of Easter Eggs, and dropping little secret jokes or references in its various products. We've seen the various secrets found in different versions of Android, like Nyan Cat, and others. Now, someone has noticed that Google put one in the public App Store listing of its Gmail app.

The screenshots for the Gmail app show a message titled "Your favorite Steve Jobs quotes," and then show the contents of that message. The first quote is one that Google CEO Larry Page has certainly put into practice as he has tried to focus the efforts of Google by killing off superfluous projects, and it reads:

The second quote listed is one that seems to be a bit more of a jab at Apple. The quote is cut off in the screenshot, and it may be done for editorial effect. The quote in the screenshot reads:

The quote should be finished with "...other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary," but Google decided to leave that out.

Perhaps Google is trying to imply that Apple may have ultimately become trapped by Steve's own dogma and this silly war on Android? It's not perfectly clear, but we wouldn't be surprised if that were the message.
