GameStop now accepts the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Nexus S, and Infuse 4G into its trade-in program
Already, we know that popular video game chain store GameStop is accepting iOS devices, like the iPhone and iPad, into its trade-in program that gives customers credit for their used devices. Well, it looks as though they’re slowly expanding their reach, now that they’re accepting some Android devices as well.

Specifically, a leaked screenshot shows that the gaming retailer is no accepting devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Google Nexus S, and the Samsung Infuse 4G. At this point, it’s no surprise why they’re branching out, but as we’ve seen, smartphones and tablets have become a favorite hub for a lot of mobile gamers. In fact, we’re already starting to see that shift, as more people are relying on mobile devices to get their gaming fix – as opposed to traditional mobile consoles.

Interestingly, not all GameStop locations are accepting these mentioned devices, since it’s being reported that only select locations are accepting them. Therefore, it’d be best to give a quick call to your local store before heading out and making the trip.

Still, the rumor mill seems to shed light on the possibility of more devices being added to the list. So on top of iOS devices and these new ones, we can expect to see more added in the near future. No doubt about it, this new move to get into the mobile market is a great way for GameStop to stay afloat in this competitive market.
