Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 officially announced: Samsung's first smartphones with front-facing LED flashes
After showing up in various leaked photos over the last few weeks (see here, or here), the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are now finally official. Samsung announced the two handsets in China, where they're going to be available starting this week, being targeted at young users.

Interestingly, the Galaxy J7 and J5 are Samsung's first smartphones to offer front-facing LED flashes (to complement their 5 MP wide-angle selfie cameras). Besides that, they have many common features, including: LTE, dual SIM capabilities, 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, and 13 MP rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture. The J7 is more powerful than the J5, as it uses an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. The Galaxy J7 is also larger, sporting a 5.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, while including a bigger battery (3000 mAh).

The Galaxy J5 offers a 5-inch 720p display, it's powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, and has a 2600 mAh battery inside.

Both the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 run Android 5.1 Lollipop, and will be available in China in three color versions: black, white, and gold. The J7 will cost 1,798 CNY (around $289), while the J5 will be sold for 1,398 CNY (around $225).

At the moment, we don't know if the Galaxy J7 and J5 will be released in other markets. Would you be interested in buying any of the two?

You're trying too hard to convince others and more importantly, yourself, that Android is inferior.

I love how Samsung manage to make both phones "equal". One lacks the thing the other doesn't and it has the S6 UI & front flash so that's cool too. Nice for the low-end..

Sammy started a new era with Galaxy Alpha. They don't have to look back anymore.

The J7 doesn't look like a horrible value. Considering it comares well with the Lumia 640XL. Better SoC (for sure). It's right around what I'm looking to spend on a new phone ($275-$399)

It's at this point where I ask, what's the benefit of a front-facing LED flash? Won't it blind you or something?

Xperia C4 is better because it has 2GB of RAM and Full HD display but i think you need to stop talking about copying! Because Sony has no problem with it.

Everybody please just ignore this idiot Boobybuster, Bobbybuster, jakelee, whatever other accounts are obviously his. He feeds off the attention. When everyone ignores him, he will wither. Just don't reply to his comments and report him.
