Apple's AirPower wireless charger is still a pie in the sky, postponed for early 2018 release, but there are already a few good options on the market to top off your new iPhones or Apple Watches sans cables. How about both? Yes, there is now a Kickstarter project called Funxim that is building a wireless charger which mimics the AirPower's featured ability to charge two Apple devices at once.
Granted, the Apple Watch will have to be put at a certain spot on the charger, and the iPhone next to it, unlike AirPower's free placement option, but that's a small inconvenience to bear at an early backer's price of just $29. The Qi wireless charger supplies no less than 10W of power, should your device be capable of taking advantage, and pumps the electrons in at a very good 80% conversion rate.
The project has about a month to go, but the target amount has already been raised, so the Funxim charger is happening, and you can save $50 off its eventual $79 retail price now. Granted, Funxim's affordable wireless charger for the iPhone and Apple Watch is pie in the sky still, but so is Apple's AirPower for now, and it might be a $200 one at that, while Funxim has experience building other Qi chargers, albeit of the round variety.
