European pre-orders for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium to start next week with bonus high-end headphones

Sony's long-awaited Xperia XZ Premium flagship, which was revealed all the way back in February at this year's Mobile World Congress, will soon be available for pre-order in Europe, after previously being made available in the UK. Some of pre-orders will also come with a premium gift of their own as well: a pair of high-end wireless noise-cancelling headphones.

The device's launch price will be between €749 and €769, which is $815 – $840, though the American price is likely to be slightly lower. While no specific release dates have been given, we know that the pre-orders will start as early as next week. The impressive pre-order bonus Sony promises are a pair of its own over-ear, Bluetooth-enabled MDR100ABN headphones, which normally retail at €300. However, their supplies will unfortunately be limited to an undisclosed amount. Some Nordic countries won't get access to this bonus, however, but will get a free Quick Charge 3.0 charger instead.

As previously revealed, the device's official launch in the region will be June 1. We still don't know, however, whether pre-orders will ship earlier than the launch date. We also don't yet know when US pre-orders will begin, though we imagine they're not that far off as well.

The Xperia XZ Premium, which Sony describes as a "premium flagship", was the first officially-revealed device running Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor. It also sports an impressive 4K-resolution display (2160 x 3840 pixels), as well as the same sensor as the Sony XZs, which is capable of shooting ultra slow-motion clips at 960 FPS, though it takes some pretty great pictures, too.

No headphones, no hifi audio jack, no notification light, not the latest Soc, and is prone to shatter with the thin bezels. I hoped that you waited a little more.

No FM radio is a dealbreaker for me unfortunately.. But are you getting the XZp?

High chance of getting it. It's either this or the HTC U 11. I believe the Galaxy S8 got the FM radio. Have you not considered it?

Only the Snapdragon versions unfortunately, but I'm really happy with my G6. I really miss Sony's software though. My old SD801 Z2 that I still have is just about as fast as my G6 when opening apps. The weird thing is that my Z2 is even a little bit faster (!!!) when it comes to internet browsing. That bothers me a little bit to be honest. I have also had a few crashes on my G6, mainly within the gallery app, which I NEVER had on my Sony's. The XZs, with eMMC storage and the SD820, is already on par with the S8+. The XZs even kills it with web browsing! The SD835 XZp will litterally fly with Sony's UI. Plus, I'm sure that the XZp's camera will be better than the S8's.

I saw the video and man this thing flies and it's the last gen 820 and beat the s8+. Can't wait for the premium. Enjoy.

Wow, looks like it will be cheaper than not only the S8 but the S8+ too. I wasn't expecting it. Also €760 is about €100 cheaper than what I paid for my Z5 Premium one and a half year ago.

My Z5P died on me and didn't have a US warranty. As long as this will eventually come with a US warranty I'll be getting it. I just hope it doesn't feel as big.

This is an international phone that "will work" in the USA. If you live in the USA, then it should do fine on T-Mo. Less functional on at&t since there is no LTE band 30. No band 30 effects the speed and functionality of the phone while on at&t, in particular on the coasts of the US, which is where the greatest percent of "international" commuters are headed. SAM SM-G830u has band 30 as do the asus ZenPhone 3 and the ZTE Axon 7. how did Sont miss this on a $850.00 phone?
