European HTC One (M8) receives update to Android 4.4.3

European HTC One (M8) receives update to Android 4.4.3
The European version of the HTC One (M8) is in the process of being updated to Android 4.4.3. The update is being pushed out OTA, and comes in at a zaftig 613MB. The new software version is 2.22.401.4. This comes after the same update was sent out over the weekend, to the developer edition, and the U.S. unlocked variant of the HTC One (M8).

So just what comes with this update? Well, besides the inclusion of the Android 4.4.3 build, there are various security fixes and performance enhancements to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and network connectivity. According to the changelist, the camera is getting an update and "Image Match" is coming to the Gallery. It also adds "Power History" to the Settings page, and there is an update to the HTC Sync Manager. The update also optimizes BoomSound, Extreme Power Saving Mode, Motion launch and Quick Setting.

All of the Android 4.4.3 updates for the HTC One (M8) include a combination of the older OS build, with the security fixes from Android 4.4.4. Don't expect the carrier branded versions of the HTC One (M8) to receive the update right away. The carriers need to test out the update first, which leads to a delay before it is pushed out to their customers.

T-Mobile or Sprint will roll it out before AT&T even considers the update.

Wish I hadn't bought this phone. Non-removable battery on my HTC 1 wasn't lasting half as long as when I bought it after a year of use. Now I'm worried about the same problem on m8 because blinkfeed can't be disabled & it's currently using 10% of battery even though I'm not using it at all! Thanks HTC

Blinkfeed can be disabled very easily. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah my M8's battery is slowly getting worse. It's nowhere near my S5's battery. If I don't have PSM on, the battery will die in less than two hours...

I know! If I can feel the case getting warm (Otterbox Defender) and that's not normal. Idk how much longer I can stick it out with this phone.

You want people believe it? Are you sure you using M8? - Die in 2 hours, why not just said die in 2 mins. - Can feel heat even cover by Otterbox Defender, better mention the phone is burning. Either your unit is true faulty or big troll Samsung fans.

Good job HTC. Very happy with my m8. I don't know what people say about battery, but I have easy one day with one charge and heavy use.

there are reasons on that: 1. The've got a Faulty Unit 2. Fanboysm 3. Samsung paid Trolls pretending to have one then posting negative comment about samsung's rival product.
