Dr. Phil celebrates his birthday by giving away 300 Palm Pixi handsets

When you happen to be one of television's most famous doctors, birthdays are generally big events that can tastefully showcase some lavish surprise gifts not only for the good doctor himself, but even for the ones that attend his show. Dr. Phil McGraw has long been a staple on television giving advice to people, but for his upcoming 60th birthday, he's planning on having one special surprise for those attending the taping of his show for the week of September 13th.

Apparently the good doctor is going to prescribe attendees of his show with a solid dose of webOS goodness in the form of a Palm Pixi. Although it's not stated which version of the handset he'll be giving out, approximately 300 units will be on hand to be handed out and will find themselves with a new owner. Not only is the doctor getting the love from his audience, but he's making extra sure that they're going to leave away with a warn fuzzy feeling.
