Doogee "luxury" phone coming in September carrying second display for notifications and time?

Doogee
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Doogee is looking to have both ends of the market covered. With speculation that the Doogee X5 is going to be priced at the equivalent of $49.99, the low-end is apparently taken care of. And a new report says that the high-end will be handled by the Doogee Titans 3 T3. This will be a "luxury" Android flavored model featuring a 5-inch, 720 x 1280 resolution display. That combination produces a pixel density of 294ppi.

The Titans 3 T3 will be powered by a MediaTek MT6735 chipset, which contains a quad-core CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 2GB of RAM will be inside along with 16GB of native storage. Besides sporting an iris scanner, the phone will have a second display on top that will show time and notifications. Leather covers the back of the handset, which will come with a metal frame. The Doogee Titans 3 T3 will also be waterproof. Pricing and availability are unknown at the moment, but with a September release rumored, we should get that information in the near future,

Doogee is one of a number of smaller Chinese handset manufacturers that have been trying to gain notoriety by pushing the envelope of phone design. Next month, the Doogee S 6000 is expected to ship with a 6000mAh battery inside.

Thanks for the tip!

Taking a lot of cues from Vertu with this design.

that time and notification area at the top is sweet. i wish samsung or some other big company would use all carbon fiber body with injected tps, or tps body, even a super high class titanium body.

Just look some videos of Doogee Titans 2. It was again luxury phone with fancy design, water-shock-dust proof. But it was a piece of sh**t. Waste of money. Drop your phone in water and it's done. I had such and it's terrible. Extremely low quality. Please PhoneArena stop advertising such terrible brands, lots of people are going to burn by buying such devices. I had 3 Doogee phones and I will never purchase Doogee again

It design is really good. If the specs are better like preferably a snapdragon 800/801/808 or a mediatek helio X10 with at least 2GB of ram it would be just nice . people won't buy a phone even though it's well designed if the specs are HORRIBLE

Why doesn't someone make a luxury phone with top specs.IMO if you pay for premium design, you should get premium specs.

Top specs won't stay for long in the computer(mobile) world. Nexus 4, 5 or iP 4s, 5s was a top specs flagship in the past :-) (Saygus V2 should easily be the near perfect phone but not now)

Why have the second display on top of the phone? Who ever looks or has the top of the phone facing them?

was thinking the same thing. if anything this notifies OTHER ppl that u have a notification since they'll be facing the top of the phone which is the opposite of what this design is suppose to do.
