Deal: Unlocked Microsoft Lumia 950 now available for $499.99
Originally released in November, the Microsoft Lumia 950 can be bought in the US via AT&T, as well as unlocked from Microsoft and various retailers. If you want to get the handset unlocked, we're happy to inform you that B&H Photo is now selling it for $499.99. That's $49 off the original price of $549 (which is still in place at Microsoft Store) - not a huge discount, we know, but still a deal that you may want to consider if you're in need of a high-end Windows 10 phone that's not as big as the Lumia 950 XL.

With its 5.2-inch Quad HD display, the Microsoft Lumia 950 is about as large as most flagship smartphones of today. The handset is among the first to receive the latest Windows 10 updates (directly from Microsoft), so you will have the newest software on it for a couple of years. Besides the sharp 5.2-inch screen and Windows 10 (with support for Microsoft Continuum), the highlight features of the Lumia 950 include an iris scanner, a 20 MP PureView rear camera, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of expandable storage space. For a detailed look at the handset, check out our Microsoft Lumia 950 review.

Update: an unlocked Lumia 950 XL currently costs $529.99 at B&H.

If one is going to get lock into a walled garden make sure it bountiful with a lot of expensive fruits, not a barrel one like Windows Mobile 10. No fruits, plenty of bugs!!!

Ppi is what's that matter. It might not be higher than most phones but it is still acceptable. For the performance (Which is miles better than the 810 and rivals even 820 or 8890 phones) and most importantly access to iOS App Store, it is a way better choice than the 950.

You can get a Nexus for $200 less than this. And the Nexus even comes with a real YouTube app.

TubeCast makes the 'real' youtube app feel very sad

Zzzzz...... Yar sure, this Lumia 950 and 950XL are at the "high-end" of the spectrum for Windows 10 handsets, because NO OTHER prominent mobile brands are interested in rolling out good models for Windows 10, which leaves consumers with ... no other choice except for Microsoft's. Windows 10 for mobile is pretty much as dead as Blackberry's BB10. $499.99 for the 950 is still ridiculous. Even if it dropped to $299.99, ppl have better options from Android.

Cheap looking and feeling phone (there are third party back covers, yes, but they look like turds tbh) with buggy OS and crappy app store. I'd pay no more than $300 for this, even if it has great internals and camera.

Funny to see everyone here whining about the bugs... Most (if not all) bugs have been fixed in the latest Windows 10 update... The same update that's being rolled out to old WP8.1 devices... Get your facts right before commencing whining, savvy?

It's common for people here to whine about a phone they haven't even touched for 1 second.

Ok, most bugs have been fixed but still this phone doesn't worth more than $300...

Waiting for any other phone to match its specs, save the 'app store'.
