Deal: Google slashes Nexus 5X prices

Starting today, the Google Nexus 5X is $30 cheaper if you're buying it from Google Store (at least in the US), and it looks like this is a permanent price cut - unlike those deals during Black Friday, or the holiday season. The Nexus 5X 16 GB can now be bought for $349, while the 32 GB model costs $399 (down from $379 and $429, respectively).

Manufactured by LG, the Nexus 5X is the spiritual successor to the Nexus 5 from 2013 (also made by LG). It's not exactly a high-end device, but it offers attractive features, including a fast and accurate fingerprint scanner, a great 12.3 MP rear camera with laser auto focus and 4K video recording, and stock Android Marshmallow. Make sure to read our Nexus 5X review if you want to find out more about the handset.

Meanwhile, the larger and more powerful Huawei-made Nexus 6P is still sold at prices starting at $499 (just like in the first day of availability). However, if you want a large Nexus smartphone for less money, you should know that the Motorola-made Nexus 6 can now be purchased for as low as $249.99 via Amazon.

This above everything is the reason for the 5x down fall.

Sales are not as robust as they need to be I bet...ergo the price cut! I would not trade my N6 o.g. for neither of the new Nexus variants, and surely not for the 5X....Ihave the o.g. Nexus 5 if I really wanted a 5 inch Nexus.rofl

I wish they cut the price of the Pixel C tablet. It's $949 for the 64GB version in my country, New Zealand.

I would rather buy the Nexus 6 for $250 instead of this...The Battery, RAM and Screen Resolution reductions are not acceptable IMO

Exactly what I had in mind too.

The screen of the 5X is far more accurate than the N6. I have a 5X and don't have any ram issues at all. Maybe the N6 is better in the battery department but the N5 was absolutely terrible there.

That's funny, they just increased the size with €50 in my country...

It'd be nice if the 5X was a premium device. While I begrudgingly own a N5X, I absolutely despise the fact that to get a pure premium Android experience, I have to buy a goddamn phablet. C'mon, Google...

Perhaps if they ditch US only versions of the phones and open their devices store to more countries sales would increase, dunno just sayin.
