BlackBerry Torch 9850 to be priced $200 for Verizon
When the BlackBerry Torch 9850 launches on September 8 for Verizon along with the Motorola Droid Bionic, you can pick up a Torch 9850 for yourself for the price of $200 with a two-year contract.

September 8 is shaping up to be a nice day of releases for current and aspiring Verizon customers. It was just a week ago that signs pointed to this being the day the BlackBerry Torch 9850 launches. It is nice to know that this date is official and it’s even nicer to know the size of the hole this smartphone will burn in your pocket.

The BlackBerry Torch 9850 is a high end device from RIM. It runs on OS 7 and is powered by a single core 1.2GHz processor. Also powering the device from behind the scenes is 768MB of RAM. It features the largest screen ever on a BlackBerry handset, measuring in at 3.7-inches. Around the back of the Torch 9850 is a 5 megapixel camera that can also record video in 720p.

The release of the BlackBerry Torch 9850 for Verizon is only a couple of days away. Anybody going to pick one up at the $200 price point? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

I can't decide between this and the Razr. The Razr is newer isn't it?

Interesting that you have yours coming, since they're not available yet, not on the website, and no "pre-orders" according to CARE?! Who and where did you get yours from?

From VZW son . Long term customer means something . . . I called #611 like 5 or 6 times until I found someone that would place the order and push it through . I'm not the only one either .

I know it might be hard to understand, but if you do call someone a few times and speak to a human, things will develop. Can't just text your life away, nub. Hassle em long enough and things happen.

I have seriously considered it, but ready to pay any half of this price. VZ has lost me as a customer.

@digicon. If you was as important as you think you are, son, why did it take you 5 or 6 times to order the phone? If you were really that important, son, you would have gotten it done the first time. But just like phoneguru173 stated, it's interesting how you and everyone else is claiming that they are getting a phone that is not available officially until the 8th, tomorrow.

Well , it was meant to be kind of sarcastic , for that reason . But at least you say it's "interesting" instead of unbelievable . I dont know where you are , but here in SoCal , it's still Tuesday . I should have the phone tomorrow by 3:00 Wednesday . Then to be officially available on VZW , Thursday . I'll find out tomorrow for sure . . . Maybe I can send you a pic ? son . (haha)
