Bing for Android is updated
Bada-Bing! Microsoft's mobile search engine for Android has just been updated. And among the new features, the Bing daily image can now be set as your wallpaper. It might not sound like a big deal, but it was all the rage with Windows Phone users back in the day, when they were getting updated to Windows Phone 7.8. In addition, the UI has been completely revamped and problems that users were having with pinch-to-zoom on web sites reached via Bing are now gone, along with some bugs that caused the app to crash.

Bing for Android allows you to search for results on the web, and also look for images and video. If you put the Bing widget on your home screen, you can speak the name or title of what you're looking for instead of typing it in. Share the search results you get with your buddies via Facebook, email or text message.

You can download and install the latest version of the Bing for Android app by heading down to the Google Play Store, where it is a free download.

The one feature that I love on Bing is when I search for actors. The movies the appeared in is displayed to the right and if you hover over the picture it tells you the character the actor actually was in the movie. The last I checked Google did not do this. It really keeps me coming back to Bing.

I like BING. I can't have Google having ALL my information. MS did a great job with the interface.

Except for all the people who use the big app on their Android devices,, some of whom are in this thread.. What a communistic way of thinking you have.. You aren't about people having choice, and options, obviously.. I thought Android users were all about choice, and freedom... Hypocrites.. Actually, I've seen a lot of really closed minded Android fans who ironically preach about how free, and open they like everything.. You guys like things free, and open, as long as those things go by the Android rule book.. Sounds like a crock of egotistical BS to me..

well, you sure have a snappy comment to EVERYONE who disagrees with you don'thcha? If they don't like it, it is entirely up to them to either try it and reconsider or dismiss it since they will probably never use it. And Google search being an integral part of Android also means that not many people will ever even look at that app page, much less comment and rate.

I can't argue with that.. And that's all you can expect from people.. But, some people make me sick when they say that something sux, without even trying it, and just because it's by MS.. Yeah, I always question those people bluntly.. But, that's the way it is, and while I have to say that you're 100% right, I'm also not willing to stop questioning haters because they spread damaging, false information.. Sorry. Just ignore me.

Needs Bing to what? Find places? Search the web? Be more specific. There's a reason why Bing has millions of downloads from Google Play.

Bing is boring, liking it just for the wallpapers is nothing, too far to beat google

No. Bing is not just about wallpapers. A test between the two search engines show that more users prefer Bing than Google (those who took the test).

How is it boring❔.. It's definitely more interactive, and visual, than Google.. Please explain❔❔

Just fired up Bing. Its funny how IE and now Bing are taking cues from Google. Dont li MS needs to take cues from GMail and make it so I dont have to adjust internet security just to make faster.... But...thanks to this article...I just got entered to win a Xbox One prize Overall Bing looks better...see above why. Side by side searches seems to be even with Google. In the past Google had more accurate searches. Might have to give Bing a shot...seems to load searches faster than Google...

Bing does look a lot better.. It also gives you the result that you need, just like Google does, but in a more intuitive way.

Thats the thing...I was getting ready to say one or the other did results better but they both seem too even now. Type in NFL and both give scores and a lil synopsis of what it the NFL on the right. Same for typing in Yahoo. I just typed in Paul Walker and Bing gave me an actual Twitter post from Beiber. But even in results they are about neck n neck. Only thing I see different is Google puts related searches at the bottom, Bing on the right. And for Paul Walker...Bing put many pics of him down the page in between search results, Google put the pics on the right. Both had People Also Search For and his Movies on the right.. Bing does add videos of _________ in search results, Google just have images of _______ IMO too similar to call now between them both as to which is better.

Yeah, so it's just best to use which one is integrated into the device you use.. For me I use Bing, and IE, because they thoroughly are integrated in WP, W8.1, and Xbone.. I can't think of the last time it ever even crossed my mind to go "Google something"..

That's because everything you do is Microsoft related. If you ever used or needed to look up some information on another platform, then you would know that bing sucks.

Bing sucks? Is that why Bing for Android has a higher rating than Google for Windows Phone? Even on Android itself, Google doesn't have a higher rating than Bing. If you're gonna hate, at least do some research.

So, have you used this Bing app on your Android device❔... So, basically you're saying that Bing only sucks on Android because it's on everything else❕ It's on iOS7, WP, W8, W7, WRT, Xbox, in cars... is the default search engine on the PS4 Google❔.. Nobody is saying Google is bad by any means, but it's just stupid to say that Bing is bad when it's obviously not.. Just because you don't like MS doesn't mean that you have to immaturely act like everything they do is not good.. That's pathetic..
