Asus ZenFone 2 appears on Flipkart just prior to launch

The Asus ZenFone 2 will launch in India this coming Thursday, April 23rd. But in advance of the occasion, on-line retailer Flipkart has posted a countdown timer that will hit zero on Thursday. While the device will be available with 2GB or 4GB of RAM, it also will be offered with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of native storage. The 16GB version with 2GB of RAM will cost you the equivalent of $224 USD. With 4GB of RAM, that price is the equivalent of $288 USD.

With a 5.5-inch LCD screen carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution, the ZenFone 2 display has a pixel density of 403ppi. A 64-bit quad-core 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 CPU is under the hood. Regardless of which storage option you choose, if you need more memory you can use the 64GB capacity microSD slot. A 3000mAh battery powers the phone, which has a 13MP camera on back and a 5MP selfie snapper on front. Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

The Asus ZenFone 2 rear camera comes with Super HDR for 400% improved contrast, and the Low Light Mode lets you take better pictures in less than optimal lighting conditions. A Beautification Mode allows you to touch up selfies with "digital makeup," and you can use the front-facing camera to take 140 degree panoramic selfies.
