Asphalt 9: Legends achieves 4 million downloads in less than a week
Asphalt 9: Legends hasn't been out there for more than a week and developer Gameloft announced its latest game has been downloaded more than 4 million times since release. The French company says the newest installment in the Asphalt series reached the top 5 most downloaded games on iPhone in 150 countries, including USA (#4), United Kingdom (#5), France (#2), Germany (#2), Italy (#2) and Japan (#1).

However, it's worth noting that the 4 million downloads have been achieved on all three platforms the game is currently available on - Android, iOS and Windows 10. Still, that's a more than a decent milestone for an Asphalt game, and, more importantly, people seem to like it as Asphalt 9: Legends has a pretty good rating average (4.6 stars).

The fact that Asphalt 9: Legends was selected as the Editors’ Choice by Apple and appeared in the “Game of the Day” category in most of the App Stores in the world probably helped the game reach a high number of downloads in such a short time.

If you haven't yet tried the game, you can download Asphalt 9: Legends for free via App Store, Google Play Store, and Microsoft Store. The game features plenty of in-app purchases, but they are purely optional, so you don't have to invest any money to have a great gameplay experience.

Great play, unmatchable graphics.

The thing with mobile games. Millions of downloads in first week of debut. Millions of deletes in the second week.

My point exactly - I myself downloaded it on three devices, all of them are clean of this rubbish by now.

Not trolling, but I’m kinda interested, why do you hate so much games on mobile?

This. I see japkoslav commenting on nearly every single article relating to a mobile game. I would love to hear the answer as well.

I love mobile games, true mobile games. I hate stupid games and mindless ports. Alto, Scribblenauts, Zen Pinballs, Fotonica, Mario Run, Hook, Candy Crush, Threes, Botanicula, Bloons TD etc.etc etc. It's not hard to figure out why I like them, but I give you a hint anyway - they do not suck on a touchscreen.

I understand your point and you’re right to some extent, there are some games that despite their impressive graphics for mobile, their control scheme is not that good and the experience is not what it should be, but it’s the natural evolution for mobile gaming anyways, on the other hand I like what is happening with the Nintendo Switch and I hope to see smartphones in the future with the same versatility and also the same quality in games

You won't see those games on smartphones, because smartphone game market is intended for 1$, full of ads or full of microstransactions. There are some exceptions, but 20 good games vs. 1 milion of crap on a mobile market is not a sign of change. If you want to play decent games on a go, there is Nintendo 3DS and Switch and ... literally nothing. I like Nintendo, but it's sad nobody is even trying to compete. What was the news lately? 20 mil. Nintendo Switch units sold?

Yes, Nintendo is killing it despite all the haters, they are having their “apple” moment lol, I’m looking forward to see Metroid prime 4 this year, if they do that it’s gonna be mayhem

Terrible controls. At least compared to 8. Give us the ability to customize the touch interface like 8 does.

It have tilt and touch control. But since their new target audience is toddlers, they make swipe control as default.

Do people have any idea what they are playing? It's a free-to-play mobile game, with scummy business practice, and microtransactions on top of that. I know. I've been down that rabbit hole before, and I'm not going to go down it again. Open your eyes, people! You can't let something like this become the absolute norm! This is not capitalism. It's scummy business practice. Plain and simple. If want a good mobile racing game, buy Riptide GP. It's cheap, or want play an actual racing game, go get Forza or Mario Kart.

Welp, the game still sucks big time. Too arcade-y even for arcade games. Real Racing 3 for me!

Instead of real console-quality games like Hello Neighbor and Life is Strange, this pay-to-win in-app-fested cashcow is significantly more popular. And y'all are complaining about games resorting to microtransactions when s... like this becomes extremely popular.

It's a cool game, but my device isn't compatible

So if your device is not compatible, how do you know it's cool?
