New 'I love you' emoji harnesses the power of sign language
Apple promised that there will be new emojis coming with the iOS 11.1 update, and delivered with the release of the second beta. There are no less than 59 new designs, while the first set was shown on World Emoji Day back in the spring, and included Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position, as well as new items in the food section like Sandwich and Coconut.
There are the obligatory diversity faces and colored hearts, but also dinos, and even a curling stone for the sporty types, check out all of Apple's new designs above. Want to say "I love you," but bored from the heart emoji? Well, iMessage in iOS 11.1 now has the Love-You Gesture, designed after the hand sign in American Sign Language.
What else is new in iOS 11.1? Well, the beta 2 marks the return of the 3D Touch multitasking app switcher, while the new watchOS 4.1 beta 2 introduces support for streaming radio stations, including Beats1, over LTE, for instance. The public release of iOS 11.1 is probably coming no sooner than the iPhone X which will start shipping to its early adopters on November 3, so there's plenty more to discover in the subsequent betas until then. Head to the source link if you want to try out the new beta, with the obligatory bugs and glitches warning if you install.
