Apple is already listing lengthy waiting times for almost all of the new iPad Pros
While Android-based tablets are pretty much dead and buried, and Windows 10 convertibles and hybrids still have a ways to go before achieving truly mainstream popularity, Apple somehow manages to sell both lower-cost and ultra-high-end iPads like hotcakes.

If you’re wondering how successful those redesigned new 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pros might be, look no further than estimated Apple Store delivery times to get a decent idea of the initial demand.

Formally unveiled on Tuesday, October 30, the two “all-screen” giants were instantly put on pre-order in the US, as well as dozens of other markets, ahead of a November 7 rollout.

But less than 48 hours in, a single iPad Pro (2018) configuration is still listed as ready for launch-day shipping. If you hurry, you can order the 64GB 11-incher in either silver or space gray with both Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity for $949, and Apple promises to get the slate on your doorsteps in under a week.

The same exact device with the same storage space, but no LTE speeds, which costs $799, will reach new customers no earlier than November 20. In fact, all other 11-inch iPad Pros are listed at the time of this writing as shipping between November 20 and 26 or November 26 and December 3.

Believe it or not, the crazy expensive 1TB variant with Wi-Fi and cellular support falls in the latter category, suggesting rampant demand or scarce availability. Most likely, a combination of the two.

As far as the latest 12.9-incher is concerned, the sooner you can hope to receive that bad boy if you order it today stateside is November 15. Several configurations, including the maxed-out 1TB, Wi-Fi+cellular model, can no longer be delivered before November 23, possibly taking as long as November 30 to reach you.

Unsurprisingly, the $129 second-generation Apple Pencil is also backordered, shipping no sooner than November 16, and the same goes for the newest Smart Keyboard Folio designed for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. For what it’s worth, the 11-inch Smart Keyboard Folio can still be delivered on November 7... if you pull the trigger right away.
