Apple iPhone X unboxing

The iPhone X comes with a revolutionary design for Apple, but its overall packaging doesn't stray too far away from the company's regular approach. Regardless, it's always a great experience to take a fresh, new high-end smartphone out of its plastic wrapping and dive into the accessories and other little thingies found in its box.

What's in the box:

1. Apple iPhone X
2. EarPods with Lightning connector
3. Lightning to USB cable
4. USB power adapter
5. Lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter

Damn! I thought the notch was ok while looking at the pictures, but this video clarified a lot, this thing is really ugly. I would definitely end up smashing this mobile if have to ever use it daily, too much annoying.

Try it out of you can. It's worse then ugly, it's an eyesore and hinders functionality. And the bezels are wayyyyy bigger then marketing material has you believe. The UI needs to be adapted to a larger screen format but that's too much work for Apple. The camera app for example still has more black screen then preview/photo. Really a lazy attempt to go 'bezeless'.

Well, you should get prepared to hate phones all around because a notchevolution is comming up. Bezzels are exactly the right size, Apple actually pays attention to their marketing material to reprezent things correctly. And what’s so surprising that wiewfimder takes less space in camera app ? Do you know what is an aspect ratio for a typical photo ? How that has to do anything with “bezzellessness” anyway.

Well I've used better screen to body ratio phones and have seen them tweak their UI to take advantage of the larger screen so... I'm not going to accept lazy design from Apple sorry. You can though, your money.

"Well, you should get prepared to hate phones all around because a notchevolution is comming up." Are you delusional or what by assuming that most OEMs would copy the iPhone X notch? Other flagships handsets to have higher screen-to-body ratio than the iPhone X with no notch!

They should have just made it even across and lost a % or 2 on body to screen ratio

At the end of the day iPhonearena is going to give the iPhone X a score higher than 9. If they gave the iPhone 8 a score of 9, especially when other sites gave it a lower score. Yet this site gave it a score of 9. And all other smartphones they gave under that score. Meanwhile other smartphones had OLED displays, and finger print scanners, as well as Facial recognition, and some with iris scanners as well. The bias is strong on this site. Or maybe it's the payouts.

They can't really do anything about the photo preview in camera app unless they crop in the sensor than but than your losing a bit of image by being cropped in I.e can fill up whole screen on Note 8 in camera view finder but lose a good amount of field of view Option would be nice though

I don't understand why they didn't go straight across with the bezel.

Did you hit your head or something?

No he didn't hit his head, it's called personal preference. I don't like the notch at all, but the device is still good looking, especially the silver one. Post stupidity all you want, but people are still gonna enjoy what they want to spend their own money on. IPhone X has a notch, Note 8 is too tall, so what!

I guess you are right but in this case they "have" to enjoy & the reason is that they don't have a choice, I mean if they don't buy iPhone X what other choice do they have, no other company makes iOS devices, there is no meaningful diversity, I know most people would be happy, but I call that compromise, you know that too, no offense, I like iOS optimization a lot, but they haven't brought anything significant improvement over past 4-5years, last time I was impressed with their presentation was whey they introduced 64bit processor & caught everyone off-guard, but their designs stinks, I am no fanboy, but almost every major company has changed a lot & that's for better only, but apple just keep on doing the same thing, I love their business model, they are very good when it comes to marketing & support as well, there is a reason why they eat up most profit every quarter.

Some of your post I agree with, but in the end, just don't buy it if it's not for you. I have my issues with the X, and with Apple for not including certain things we all know it's fully capable of doing, but I've spoken on them, and see no need to rain on people's parade. I simply chose to speak with my wallet, and not buy it. It's gonna be a great phone for toms of people, let em enjoy it dude. I chose the Note 8, and I'm hooked on it. It's not for everyone, and neither is the X, but it's for me.

That notch !..... Thought the essential phone did a mistake with theirs... It's way better compared to this.

I really prefer the Essential Phone design over the iPhone X, but I'm not buying it until they go with an OLED or AMOLED screen and with some software polished. Maybe the next generation of Essential Phone will be improved a lot. Hopefully!

A gorgeous product for sure. Just have to wait a bit more for seeing such a nice box in person.

That notch is so huge, disturbing , ugly , irritating and distracting. God know why phonearena reviewer was feeling so excited reviewing the notch X

I bought three X, one for me, one for my wife and one for my son. They are lovely and gorgeous compared to our 7+. Love the iOS ecosystem. Never had an android phones. O by the way, I’m getting 3 homepods and 1 imac pro this December. Im so excited and thrilled with apple making quality products. Good job apple.

Not gonna say whether you're lying or not, cause I don't know, but your post sounds kinda typically fabricated. To be believable, you coulda stopped after "our 7+". Enjoy your tech.

A lot of people online on like r/Apple, etc are saying that they don't even mind the notch anymore and that they forget about it sometimes when using the device, or that it just blends in I felt a little similiar when I was playing with it for like 10 minutes, I kind of forgot about it at times but than your also reminded of it in other moments Should of just made the top bar permanently black with the OLED

I have to say its the same thing as Dark and other mentioned about the S series FPS you forget about it and find that its not really a problem and that's what I really feel PA should not have placed as a con for any of the S series because if you can excuse the so called "Notch" which you have to see every day what about a FPS which you don't have to see or use every day? Anyway this is a great phone and those who were fortunate enough to get theirs enjoy.

Face ID is seriously flawd, check out the non-identical brothers it thinks are the same person: So much for "we didn't reduce the accuracy of Face ID to meet production demand". What a joke.

Too bad iPhonearena would never post this on the news. They are going to do their best to ignore it or find positive articles to take their place.

Not sure why they even bother with the unboxing stuff. We all know iphonearena will give it a 10/10 with out very good reason. Might as well just post the review now. iPhone X 10/10! Enough said! Stephen Scheck, Ray S, and the rest of team isheep collaborated on this review.

That PocketNow dude in the video sure got pudgy fast in the last 6 months. I bet he'll gain another 40 lbs in the next 6 months and then become obese 6 months after that. Congratulations, have another dozen donuts! And oh yeah, it's funny to watch this iSheep dork almost chizzed himself over that ugly iNotch phone as if it were Megan Fox giving him a hand job.
