Apple iPhone 6 dummy surfaces on video, claims inspiration by the real thing

Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone no earlier than September, but even as early as now leaks and rumors start becoming unbearable. This latest one is more interesting than the rest because it shows an iPhone dummy that claims to be based on the real deal on video. It depicts the upcoming iPhone 6 as having a 4.7-inch display with rounded edges and an iPad mini-like design with rounded edges.

Should we trust this mockup? Nothing is official until the very last day, but it definitely makes sense for Apple to make its new iPhone appear similar to its current tablets. You can clearly see how the device even uses the same distinct, elongated volume buttons.

What’s very strange (and we are fairly certain won’t happen) is the single LED flash for the camera on the back. It would simply make no sense for Apple to have adopted a dual-LED flash in the iPhone 5s, and then, to switch back to a single-LED flash the next year.

For all else, this is just a dummy claiming to stem from insider information, and as good as it looks to you, don’t forget to look at it with the usual grain of salt at hand.

Not sure what to say. Anyway, have to wait for the official release. But at the end no matter how beautiful it will be on the outside (iThink ((WOW what a pun)) that 4-5s are ugly) it will always be ugly from the inside.

The 4 was fine, 5/s was ugly because of the white chunks next to the silver and gold (black/Grey was great though) , and this 6 is going to be the ugliest phone so far. I have no doubt that that is what it will look like (they said it themselves) and it's like a shrunken M8, which I find uglier than the original HTC One.

Yeah, well 4 and 4s were kinda ok. I think this would look good, but the fact that it looks like a worse M8 makes it look bad IMO.

You think they will move away from dual led? This is fake.

You just can't let an Apple article go by without saying something negative can you? There's not even substance or criticism in your posts, it always just boils down to "I don't like it".

and yet, this apple tastes the same. Toy"ish" design IMO.

Yeah. Apple is always apple. Unless it could be gene mutated with orange.

It looks like an anorexic oversized iPhone 3gs. How does something become anorexic and oversized at the same time? There's less of it but there's actually more of it? Lol. And then they'll call this one an "innovation"?! So Apple.

They've never had it. A lot of Apple products starting from their macintosh multicolored monitors have looked quite childish/toyish. For some reason, those products I couldn't take them seriously. Their iphones from iphone 4 to 5s are probably the most attractive designs next to the xperia z ultra, the z2 and the HTC One's. In any case, this dummy model resembles the htc desire 816 a lot. https://www.google.com/search?q=htc+816&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=E1xiU66gK8HKOY6YgLAG&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1301&bih=678&dpr=1.05#facrc=_&imgrc=ib7X2pkLlLFS3M%253A%3BA2dTa72AEGr85M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fcdn2.ubergizmo.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2014%252F03%252Fhtc-desire-816__008.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ubergizmo.com%252F2014%252F03%252Fhtc-desire-816-preview%252F%3B900%3B600

Haha =)) Man, I was only joking cos it's too obvious. Any schoolgrader could tell that that music is Chinese. And I said "video", not website. That video was from China. 86digi.com. .

i think this phone serves one task: stop leaving apple just because you want a bigger screen, here have a bigger iPhone5s (which btw to me is still the best looking phone till date next to the m7). people will be jumping at this.

HTC one x vs iPhone 6 can't wait for the comparison. IPhone is gowing to be abit faster with better camera and that fingerprint sensor, in comparision the HTC one x is much much much more cheaper and the rest is what you pay for.

Just as a reference because I don't think most people are realizing seeing how many are comparing this to a HTC phone, this is basically a thinner iPhone 1.

Looks good and more comfy to hold too. I am just disappointed that it does not look like a toaster or an elephant. Apple need to innovate more.

Top bezel looks too big to me. We know you don't want to admit it, Apple, but Android OEMs have the whole large-screen thing down pretty good at this point. It would serve you best to take notes.
