iPad owners are more satisfied than Samsung and Amazon tablet buyers
Apple now offers an iPad for virtually everyone and a new survey reveals that, regardless of the model chosen, you’ll more than likely be extremely satisfied with the purchase.

According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) who surveyed over 12,500 people between September 2018 and August 2019, Apple once again leads the tablet market in terms of customer satisfaction.

When combined with the popularity of Mac desktop computers and MacBook laptops, Apple was granted a satisfaction score of 83/100 for the entire ‘PC’ segment. This is on par with the company’s 2018 rating and puts it two points ahead of second-place Samsung, who dropped by one point this year to 81/100.

ACSI says Samsung continued to rank behind Apple in the tablet segment thanks to its Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Tab S5e. The newly announced Galaxy Tab S6 naturally wasn’t part of the survey but it could potentially boost the company’s ratings in next year’s surveys if all goes well. Samsung’s overall score is a result of it being combined with that of the desktop market, which it currently leads.

In a “distant” third sat Amazon who only competes in the tablet segment. Its Fire-branded lineup was granted a satisfaction rating of 79/100 which, while still very impressive, actually represents a drop of 3 points versus 2018.

Overall, US customers were most satisfied with desktop computers with an average score of 81/100. Tablets and laptops followed in joint second with satisfaction ratings of 77/100, although it’s worth pointing out that tablets previously held a satisfaction rating of 80/100.
