iPad owners are more satisfied than Samsung and Amazon tablet buyers
Apple now offers an iPad for virtually everyone and a new survey reveals that, regardless of the model chosen, you’ll more than likely be extremely satisfied with the purchase.

According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) who surveyed over 12,500 people between September 2018 and August 2019, Apple once again leads the tablet market in terms of customer satisfaction.

When combined with the popularity of Mac desktop computers and MacBook laptops, Apple was granted a satisfaction score of 83/100 for the entire ‘PC’ segment. This is on par with the company’s 2018 rating and puts it two points ahead of second-place Samsung, who dropped by one point this year to 81/100.

ACSI says Samsung continued to rank behind Apple in the tablet segment thanks to its Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Tab S5e. The newly announced Galaxy Tab S6 naturally wasn’t part of the survey but it could potentially boost the company’s ratings in next year’s surveys if all goes well. Samsung’s overall score is a result of it being combined with that of the desktop market, which it currently leads.

In a “distant” third sat Amazon who only competes in the tablet segment. Its Fire-branded lineup was granted a satisfaction rating of 79/100 which, while still very impressive, actually represents a drop of 3 points versus 2018.

Overall, US customers were most satisfied with desktop computers with an average score of 81/100. Tablets and laptops followed in joint second with satisfaction ratings of 77/100, although it’s worth pointing out that tablets previously held a satisfaction rating of 80/100.

Nope, you gotta use it, to understand. iPad is really cool and better serving in the long run, compared to Android tablets.

As an Android user (Note 10+) and designer I will always purchase a iPad over an Android tablet. iPads just work better as tablets. I've owned three Samsung tabs and a Nexus 7 back in the day. The longest I've kept one was for 6 months. Like any purchase, it's all about what you are looking for in a device and what works best for you.

It’s so true. iPad are actually the best tablets and make life simpler. I love my iPad Pro 2018. It can do 80% of my laptop tasks. Don’t need to be put in charger again and again. Do not need reboots. It’s the best portable entertainment device too.

Sure, everything Samsung tablets do. Except Samsung allows micro SD to significantly boost storage options. The reality is that the 2pt difference is largely meaningless and is really just a trendiness bonus. Not to say that iPads aren't good devices though, they certainly are but a 1-2pt lead suggests parity more than superiority. Especially when you consider most people call all tablets iPads.

i would yes android is more versatile and gets more things done but the thing is most people dont need to do so. ipad is an excellent media consumption device and ios definitely provides a very 'pleasing' appearance to the user especially with the fact that apps are way more optimized for tablet interface on ipad. yes i m an android user and i will stick to it but even that might change with the new iPad OS... it's become more versatile than ever.

I do all of my PC work nowdays with iPad except composing music. You can do also that with iPad and all the accessories, but i need way more for my music producing. I also do my photo editing nowdays with phone or iPad because the screen is lot better and more accurate (quite crazy) than what i have on my PC. and also it's just lot more fun with the iPad. Can't wait to get the real photoshop designed for touch for iPad.

I was shocked that you are using a PC. Go buy a Mac.

I’m PC guy and always been, also the music software i use was before only for Windows. After all the great experience with iOS devices i thought i should try Mac, but i did a safe choice and bought new Windows machine. I hate slow computers a lot, but after i bought intel i9, that thing works as fast as my iPad. Everything happens right away, it’s so much joy to use just like my iPad.

As someone who has never owned an Apple product, but has experience with them, this is not at all surprising. iPads give the best overall experience of all tablets. Many Android heads like myself will admit to this.

I still prefer Android on a tablet when it comes to OS and functionality but the iPad has a superior app selection. Still blows my mind the number of Android apps designed for phone and literally cannot be used in landscape which is how my tablet is often positioned.

Download the Control Screen Orientation app and you're done. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Shouldn’t need to do that. Evidence of an inferior product.

This is one area I agree with. I have more satisfaction with my iPad Pro, than the Samsung tablets I've owned. The phones however, are a complete different story.
