Amazon Prime Instant Video may be coming soon to Windows Phone
Microsoft has been saying recently that Windows Phone will finally overcome the so-called "app gap" over the course of 2014, and it looks like we may have some info on another major app that could be coming to the Windows Phone platform sometime soon. A customer service rep let it slip that Amazon could be working on an Amazon Prime Instant Video app for Windows Phone.

A leaked screenshot of a chat session with an Amazon customer service agent shows the rep possibly confirming the news. A customer was complaining that they didn't have an Amazon Instant Video app for their Windows Phone 8 device, and the rep responded, saying:

That seems to be as close as you could get to an admission that the app is not only in the works, but on its way.

We took a look at the supposed "app gap" on Windows Phone recently, and found that the only real gaps left are in specific apps (like needing Amazon Instant Video because you don't have a Netflix account), and with games. Apps like this will definitely help Windows Phone to overcome the perception that it doesn't have the apps available, even though it has over 200,000 apps in its store.
